A top woman golfer has shocked the normally staid sport by launching a raunchy nude calendar.

Sophie Sandolo has ditched her sensible slacks and Pringle pullover to give the game a new image.

"Golf needs more visibility, glamour and a new image," explained the European tour's 44th best player in 2004.

"My first sexy calendar is intended to represent my love for golf, my desire for freedom and a touch of coquetry. I'm instinctively attracted by fashion, elegance and glamour.

"I've tried to bring my small contribution and hopefully open new doors which could bring more notoriety to the sport I play and I love so much."

Some golf expert help me out here, but didn't a woman here in the states do this several years ago? I think her name was Jan Stephenson of something like that. Most of the ones I have seen on the LPGA tour, people would pay not to see them naked

TOP woman golfer who is 44th on the European Tour? I am a self-confessed golf nut and I have never heard of Sophie Sandolo. Methinks she is just trying to make a buck. Can't see Grace Park or any of the LPGA standouts doing this. Besides, does anyone really want to see Annika Sorenstam like this?
