Anyone wishing to be added to or removed from the Ring-Ping list, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Woohoo!! :-)
Surprise!
Thank you for the ping. :-)
Woohooo!! Hello FRiend!
I'd gotten cozy at the other place, but this one is pretty good!
Hey...ain't often you make the first ten posts, is it?
Thanks for the new thread!
Cute picture!
Ssshhhh... I'm not here.
-->looking around vaguely...
I'm off at class and you move? Sheesh...
On that note.... I think I'm gonna go out and dig drainage...
At least you guys pinged me to the new thread...
Poor Corin...he's out of TOWN and we move.
Hope he notices the trail of bread crumbs...
He'll find his way back somehow...
Have you heard from the realtor yet? You said you'd call her if you didn't hear from her this morning, you know...
Nice new hole in the ground!
Mine did that a couple times while I was in college. At least once I had to call to my grandparents to get their new phone#&address.
That's why email is great. It doesn't matter where people are physically located as long as they check their email.
And I know my parents won't be moving, Mom would have to be dragged out kicking and screaming.
This was back in '96 or '97 so email was not such a sure bet way to get someone on a short basis. The really funny part was I was tracking them down to call and ask for money for school :P
Ok, that is funny...
Unless they change their ISP. ;P
Good day!
Praise the Lord and pass the pancakes!
I've been very very worried about money for the last month. Because I got a B in one of my classes last semester, I missed the GPA needed to get my extra fellowship and it looked like I was going to have to come up with eleven hundred bucks for fees, as well as not have an extra 1k. I even got a bill for the first half of the fees...
But I just checked my bank balance, and saw a huge credit. There was only one thing it could be, so I went and checked the student accounts and sure enough I was awarded the fellowship after all (apparently it's a yearly gpa, not a semesterly one)
I can't begin to say what a big deal this is. I can finally finish building my pc! And I'll still have my safety net money. I was getting very worried about how I was going to make it to the summer, when I'll be working full time and making more money. This is a real answer to prayer!
That's why one has a yahoo address, even if it's only for emergency contacts...
Good day! I'm in a really, really good mood suddenly :-)
Yikes!!
I should have know better than to go have lunch without checking back in first! *laughing*
At least I made it to the first page though....
Great news, Jen!
He always paves the way and it's always just in time. :-D
Cupid's a nice touch!
Wonderful news! How really thrilling!!!
Speaking of financial matters...I got this through the PJ Scout thing I have Steve signed up for...he's not really qualified, but the salary nearly caused me to faint!

And on another note, our Sunday School teacher mentioned he was keeping an eye out for a position with the company he works for...I think it's T. D. Williamson" or something like that.
FOUND MONEY!! Great news and congrats!
I think you'll be surprised just how much he might be able to earn with his Master's degree. Environmental science is a big thing nowadays.
That's wonderful! So glad it turned out OK!
I'm waiting for money, too...though not on quite the same scale. Margaret's teacher - the man who's teaching her to build violins - is going to buy my fiddle to fix up. I hate to let it go, but inexpensive fiddles are available everywhere, and it'll be cash and one last thing to carry around. I'm keeping the bow.
She's supposed to get a check from him tomorrow.
Well, we've already decided that we don't want to go into any further debt again, other than our mortgage payment (which is small...$650 a month). I'm going to practically need a new car soon...and you get a reasonable car for not too much and pay cash for it. There is a lot of little things I'd like to do around the house of course, but we really need to be thinking of saving a bunch of money...we don't have anything put away for the boy's college or our retirement and we aren't young folks, you know? We're a bit behind!
Plus, we'd like to do some leisure stuff...fix up the bug, go on vacations.
But other than that... life, although hopefully less financially anxious, won't change much!
Isn't it great, though! Now I can get a couple new shirts and the FMA dvd, and even after I finish the computer I can save most of it for later in the semester. Its a huge weight lifted from my shoulders.
Glad to hear about the violin, Rosie. Perhaps you can get a replacement at a ~pawn shop~
Heh, of course it's just in time. God's not going to make a mistake and deliver the help just a day too late, after all!
LOL! You both have very good points!
I'm over at ecurbh's Hobbit Hole, looking through the Entmoot pictures. *snif*
What a fabulous time it was.
I was just thinking about that this morning. It's been more than a year. Wow. And what a year it's been!
*shudder*
Huh-uh!
Actually, Margaret has one she could sell me, if I'm able to afford it before I leave. Not worth as much as the one I have now, but decent, and I like it.
Amen to that, sis.
Hair & ecurbh - do you have a link to the WeddingMoot pics on that site or do you need to FReepmail it to me?
Perhaps you could buy it on the installment plan? Put money down before you leave and pay the rest over three months or something?
Could probably do that. But she's not asking much for it...if all goes well, I'll easily be able to pay for it.
If she doesn't decide she's too sentimentally attached to it, that is. It was her first fiddle, though it doesn't get played that much any more since she has a better one.
Ah, well... it will be nice to have someone with musical ability around! Though I'll have to curtail my catterwauling, I suppose. As it is when I'm working at my desk, I'm usually singing. Doesn't sound too bad with the music but I imagine it's rather dreadful if you can't hear the music.
Coffee time!
Matthew just asked me "Are you hungry?" while I was looking over his Latin. I said "No, why?" and he said "Because you're shaking all over." I said "It's because I'm FREEZING!"
I need a nice hot coffee.
Latin is in a little over an hour. Celeste is feeling under the weather, so I'm going to pick up her son to take him and also pick up her daughter and let her hang out with me for a while. Give Celeste a couple of hours break.
Hopefully I don't drive you crazy practicing...
I promise not to play fiddle often, at least! At least not when you're around. That's the thing I'm worst at.
Heh, I wouldn't worry to much about my being around. During the school year I spend a good number of evenings at other people's apartments working on group projects.
Eventually when we can afford it, we can get a two-bedroom place and then you can just close a door and I can put on headphones and everything will be grand :-)
Those are fun to look through!
