Obviously no Virgin Priestess requirements for this bizarro cult.

"Kabbalah" is a doctrine of esoteric knowledge concerning God and the universe, asserted to have come down as a revelation to elect saints from a remote past, and preserved only by a privileged few. Kabbalah is considered part of the Jewish Oral Law. It is the traditional mystical understanding of the Torah. Kabbalah stresses the reasons and understanding of the commandments, and the cause of events described in the Torah. Kabbalah includes the understanding of the spiritual spheres in creation, and the rules and ways by which God administers the existence of the universe.

Kaballah? Did the Church of Aphrodite reject her application for preistesshood for being too much of a skank?

I'll try to make this as simple as I can.

Kabbalah is a multi-volume ancient Rabbinic text, with unbelievable depth, extremely difficult to understand, recommended not to be studied until the age of 40, requires years of intense learning, and a background of many years of serious Torah study to even begin to understand it.

To assign ANY credibility to Madonna or her other Hollywood cohorts having the slightest idea of what Kabbalah is supposed to be is a complete travesty.

And BTW, who is Rabbi Berg?

From that quote alone, I can see that Kaballah is bunk --- knowledge to a "privilged few."

God does not hide His light under a bushel.

Isn't this rather fast for a "religion" that prides itself on the kind of mysticism that takes lots of time to develop?

What are these idiots going to do when Kabala is no longer fashionable among the Hollywood crowd and is a yesterday as Scientology?

As a Michigander, I apologize to the entire world that Madonna came from my state.

LOL!

Who knows, maybe a strategic 'blend' of religions would help her cope with 21 century life!

A little Kaballah in the morning, a touch of Hindi (yoga) at night, sprinkled with a little LRon for fun (eMeter parties)... Presto! Instant Hollywood priestess!!

I did notice Demi Moore (former Mrs. Bruce Willis, now Ms. 70's show guy, no movies I recall except one where she plays a stripper) is also Kabballa nut.

She used to be a Scientologist nut, I believe.

So, to quote a poster above, "Kabballah is Hebrew for Scientology."
