MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Randy Moss has become known as much for his distracting antics as he has for his electrifying touchdown catches during his seven-year career.
Sounds like Al Davis' kind of player.
Dante DiTrapano, Moss' agent, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders had ``come to an agreement on Randy playing for Oakland next year.''

Davis, the longtime renegade owner of the Raiders, has always taken a certain pride in acquiring talented players with troubled backgrounds. And Moss is just the latest to join the Silver and Black.
DiTrapano said Moss was ``very pleased to be going to Oakland and looking forward to playing with a team that's promised to throw the ball deep a whole lot to him and have a chance at winning the Super Bowl.''
Neither the Vikings nor the Raiders would confirm the deal, which reportedly involves the Raiders sending linebacker Napoleon Harris, the seventh pick in this year's draft and another late-round pick to Minnesota for Moss.
Without commenting specifically on the trade, Raiders senior administrator Artie Gigantino said, ``the Raiders have always been very aggressive in the pursuit of free agents. Randy Moss is certainly one of the great receivers of all time. Many players have ended their careers as Oakland Raiders.''
The deal cannot become official until March 2, the start of the NFL's fiscal year.

The Vikings get their 2nd 1st rounder for this year and are really in a position to improve their team now.
Breaking news?
"Just [lie, cheat, steal, pillage] win baby."
I just clicked it, let the mods decide....
at least you didnt ask what this had to do with conservatism or something equally irrelevant...
Well, isn't this special?
Here in the Bay ARea, the Raiders never sell out games due to their lamebrain ticket marketing program.
Which means we will see even less of Moss here in the Bay Area due to blackouts than we would otherwise on national game coverage.
iF Davis thinks this will sell seats,,, well, I seriously doubt Al's wheels are touching the ground anymore.
LOL
the raiders are going to be a joke next year....
I know you're in Iraq, but this news came out yesterday around noon.
The reason it's a dumb trade is because the Raiders are not in a win now mode and a trade for Moss for a former #1, a current #1, and a current low round pick makes sense only for a team that can compete this year. The Falcons or Jets or Ravens could have done this without too much downside, however.
"There are still some hurdles," the source said. "It's not a slam dunk. But the deal is in place."
"I don't know why the Vikings are saying that. There are no obstacles," DiTrapano said
-snip-
"Red McCombs is still running this team," one source within the Vikings organization said. " I would doubt that Fowler had much to do with it at all."
Moss on the move: Vikings reach tentative deal to trade Moss to Raiders
hell Al doesnt care about the ticket sales, he is already rich from the TV contract....
I just wonder what Raiderfan will do to Moss if he walks off of the field early in a game....
nah im not in Iraq anymore, I have actually been home for about a month or so...
not only that, but look at the collective egos on the Raiders these days. Norv Turner is not the guy to be able to get them to jell as a team....
Fowler will have a fit too because he indicated that he wanted to keep Moss...
Sounds like the pot's right.
Rush, is that you? How was the trip to Afghanistan?
;O)
Yes, this by itself could sink the Moss deal.
it appears so....
it sets the Vikings up for a great draft for their defense...they already have an all star QB, good RBs, servicable WRs even without Moss and now they can concentrate on their defense....
it could...we will see how quickly the NFL approves the sale of the Vikings....
Perfect fit.
didnt we kinda know this was coming after what happened in Green Bay...
not to begrudge Moss's ability, but if he had something simliar to even TO's attitude (more team oriented), he would be without a doubt the greatest ever when his career ended. Now, who knows?
Certainly his career won't be enhanced by going to the Raiders. I would bet he gets traded after next year when he goes off when the Raiders finish up 3-13....
