Being disappointed that it didn't get more nominations is understandable if you were rooting for the film... but this article is completely false in its assertion that it recieved no nominations.
I'm not rooting for the film per se, I have long since lost any interest in the Oscars.
The article was mistaken, but it reinforces the point that besides besides best picture/director/actor awards, the others might as well be nonexistent as far as the general public is concerned, and when a movie like the Passion gets shut out of even nominations in those categories, it's a snubb as far as the public is concerned, regardless of how many of the minor awards it gets nominated for or even win.
