did you know you can make, and keep remaking your own buttermilk? in case there is some gawd awfull reason anyone would want buttermilk, that is ;)

Just the thought of remade buttermilk is gross. I have a recipe for banana bread that has buttermilk in it and is wonderful. I do buy my buttermilk, though.

The best homemade buttermilk recipe I've found goes something like this:

Pour 6 cups of whole milk in metal bowl
Add 2 cups of cat feces
Cover and leave at room temperature for three weeks
Remove cover, discard milk, and eat feces.

You got my curiousity up. I looked at the recipe and learned a new word. We're supposed to let the milk sit a few days it's until it has "clabbered"!
