I found that the first part of the show really was more entertaining than I had thought initially.Probably. But when "Star Spangled Banner Girl" (I think her name was Leandra or something) walked out, it seemed to break all the tension and the show once again became FUN!
To: texasflower
What do you think about that upcoming dance show?I think it'll be a dud, like Junior Idol a couple summers ago.
To: silent_jonny

As I said at the time (before she was voted off), the "it's 2AM, who am I going home with?" barfly look was not going to help her out at all...I remember you saying that as a matter of fact!

I think it'll be a dud, like Junior Idol a couple summers ago. I agree. If they want to do spinoffs, they should do them of the AI finalists-- from all the seasons. That's who people want to see.

I never saw the Junior Idol show ... Bad huh?To put it mildly.
Imagine a contest filled JonBenets (both male and female). Along with they're insanely obsessive parents demanding perfection from those kids ... It was a mess.
I agree with GSC, an "all-star" Idol would be a better idea.

I agree with GSC, an "all-star" Idol would be a better idea The problem is that 19E thinks it's better off creating new stars on stupid spinoffs that they have total control of rather than hiring former stars which they can't control. Should George Huff become a lot more popular, for example, they wouldn't have him under contract to financially abuse like they do the new contestants.

You know, I just realized something ... If it hadn't been for that slimey Corey Clark, this thread would've probably ended at around 8,500 posts :o
To: GraniteStateConservative
And an "all-star" AI would only work if Simon, Paula, Randy and Seacrest agreed to be a part of it. Otherwise, it would be amateur-hour all over again. For some of those past contestants it would be a huge step backward.

I'm watching this interview of Bo that was on Fox and Friends this morning. It is about 4am where Bo is at and he's outside doing the interview. In the dark.
Wearing sunglasses.

And I think Bo wearing his sunglasses in the dark might be to hide red-eye or something. Then again, he just might like to wear sunglasses. He probably sleeps with them on :)

Just got home from picking my dog up at the hospital, my husband insisted he come home even though the vet wanted to keep him. It took 2 hours just to check him out.:(
Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Didn't hear to much about AI today except a rather nastly article in the WashPo.

Well, since he just ate all my ice cream I think he's doing fine. The doctor wanted to keep him to try to get his kidney level down further but he wasn't eating and his back legs were starting to stiffen from sitting in a cage. I think he's going to be better being home, at least I hope.

I loved that song also veto! It was so dreamy and romantic. And so was I. Big sigh. Maybe if I just pretended to be now, there'd be some response from somewhere out there. Cuz here in Leftcoast lalaland romance is in short supply.

I just don't get the sunglass thing. Can someone explain this?I don't know, but Carrie told Entertainment Tonight that she literally didn't sleep last night, because of all the excitement and because of the early start to the morning she'd have-- interviews, etc. She must be exhausted.

Congrats on reaching 10,000 posts! How totally awesome! I say again, this was so much fun, can't wait until next season.
I have watched parts of the last hour over and over again on my Tivo. It was such a good show. I love the 10 worst, David Hasselhoff, even the duets, with some worse than others.
Carrie with Rascal Flats was sooooo good, as was Bo with Lynyrd Skynyrd. I got goose bumps, again.
Then, of course there was Carrie's winning moment, Bo and his family's graciousness, and Carrie's unbelievabel "Thank you America" at the end.
That was some good T.V.
To: silent_jonny; Wolfstar; All
Don't forget everyone, Carrie will be on Leno tonight, that info courtesy of Wolfstar on an earlier post.
Don't miss it.
To: beandog
I hope so too. At least he's at home where he's loved. That will certainly help I would think.
I would say sorry about your ice cream, but something tells me you were actually thrilled to give it to him.

I'll bet she is exhausted. I remember Kelly Clarkson saying that she didn't really sleep for three days straight.
Most of her sleep was an hour here and there on a plane, or a few minutes in a limo on the way to another interview.

I liked her hair best that way also. She's such a nice fresh faced girl.
I'll be glad to see her a few months from now, when the nerves are all gone and she can do some things HER way.
She told them on Fox and Friends that she would definitely continue to do country but wanted to do some pop also.

Constantine did get it pretty bad, but Scott got more cruel personal jabs.
Most of Constantine's was about his dirty hair or those "sultry" (yuck) gazes into the camera. Lots of the comments were almost lighthearted.
Scott got more intense and personal comments. Not lighthearted at all.
There was cruelty in some of the comments about Scott where it wasn't quite that way for Constantine.
I don't know why some posters think Bo was bashed. Just thinking Bo was too professional to compete with the others doesn't seem like bashing to me.
But in the end, everyone got along fine and we had a great time!
