Thursday is OVERNIGHT TERRI A BOTTLE OF WATER DAY

Posted on 03/23/2005 8:20:24 PM PST by johnnyb_61820

Hey Freepers -- let's make Thursday, March 24th "Overnight Terri Schiavo a Bottle of Water Day". Let's see how many thousands of bottles of water we can get shipped to Terri Schiavo. UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, whatever. Let's do overnight shipping and pack in as much water as you can afford to send! Call all your local and national radio shows and get them involved. I believe the address is:

Terri Schiavo Woodside Hospice 6774 102nd Ave Pinellas Park, FL 33782-2909

If someone has a better address, please post it below.

TOPICS:
KEYWORDS: bottle; cary; disabled; righttolife; schiavo; terri; terrischiavo; water
I'm calling my radio station tomorrow. Let's see if we can get water shipped to the hospice by the truckload!!!!

Let the water bottles pile up as a rebuke to those who would refuse her water.

If there were hundreds of thousands of bottles of water sitting outside the hospice, I think people would take notice. Secondly, water is the most urgent need. You can go 30 days without food, but only about a week without water.

"How exactly is she going to drink this water if she is not capable of swallowing"

She can swallow. She does not drool. This means she can and does swallow on a continual basis. She wouldn't likely be able to gulp it, but she certainly can swallow. Also, her former nurses have testified that she has historically been able to eat jello.

So, while she wouldn't be able to just take it and gulp it, the odds of her successfully being able to drink very small quantities at a time are very high.

people might notice a bunch of water bottles out there, but that doesnt help Terri a damn bit.....its a futile effort if you can't personally deliver and help her swallow the water yourself, which you wont be able to do, as we have seen all day long....

and at this point in the game, any type of anything is better than nothing at all....

Maybe it's time to for a little civil disobedience and for those outside to carry the water into the hospice.

and that will help who in this instance??? You might get some water into Terri for now, but then when the SWAT teams come in or whatever, then you have a real problem on your hands.

you might extend her life, but there could be others that get killed/wounded and I gaurantee Terri wouldnt have wanted that.....

yeah you can make a point....to yourselves...

the people that are going ahead with this euthanization wont give a crap one way or the other....

this bottle on thursday thing is just as much symbolism as the law they passed in Washington....

these wild, emotionally driven ideas are really making this place sound like DU.

God has a plan for Terri. Be certain that if she is to live here, then He will find a way. If not, then God has called his child home after this ordeal to be in the arms of Christ....

I'm going to send a case....she needs to be saved.

By the way, I find it appropriate that this is Easter weekend. Had Jesus been alive, Terri would have been one of the people that would have been cured.

Matthew 21:14 and now the blind and crippled came to him and he healed them there in the temple.

Storm the ramparts? With the growing number of supporters crowding around the Hospice, it is possible for the huge group to effectively take control of the area.

I personally like the idea of sending or personally delivering to every judge everywhere a bottle of water tomorrow and Friday with Two Big Black Words on it: I Thirst.

I can't believe the will not allow a conscious person water.

My dear departed Mam wasn't allowed fluids while on dialysis in the last stages of her cancer, but we could at least give her ice chips or moistened swabs to ease her discomfort...before her coma/morphine ..death.

sorry, this thread is too painful.

Yes, please somebody take action. Remember the civil disobediance of the sixites: if enough people participate it will work. Any freeper who lives in the immediate area, heck any who live in FL should be on their way to the hospice now. This is the issue on which we should storm the barricades: the value of life, one single but important life. Let the democrats and leftists stand for death, let them be exposed for what they truly are. To repeat a much used but relevant phrase: The Whole World Is Watching. More important, so is God.;

This is a good idea. If enough people participate then we can make a statement. The courts have overruled the lawmakers and the people on a continual basis; the idea of check and balances seems to have escaped them. The people need to take a stand and show the courts that it is still "a government by the people, for the people."

Remember the civil disobedience of the sixites: if enough people participate it will work.

NO, won't work. Why? The civil disobedience of the sixties was on the LEFT. Only the left can prevail in American politics no matter how many elections it loses. It wins by losing. Pat Buchanan wrote a book about this phenomenon way back in 1975. He called it Conservative Votes, Liberal Victories. "Conservative leaders" simply cannot stand up to the opposition, either through personal cowardice, a lack of philosophical conviction, or a combination of the two.

Thank you.

I could not get through to Governor Jeb Bush's #, so I called 1-850-488-5000 (Governor's Legislative Affairs Office) and said that Governor Bush has to put Terri in protective custody NOW. They said they agreed with me, and are working on it. I told them they better hurry up; this woman is going to die.

Please call the # (1-850-488-5000), AND Governor Jeb Bush, if you can get through, or send a FAX, and tell them to please expedite, a woman is dying. Pro-death Judge Greer ordered police throughout the state not to intervene. Bully!!

We have THREE judicial branches, and they are all equal; they should not let only ONE branch rule.

Here's an e-mail I justed received from RightMarch.com, and if anyone has a fax, that might be an easier way to get through to the Bushes. Fax # listed below. If you can't get through by phone, a fax is better than and e-mail, because papers will pile up.

So here's my info from RightMarch.com:

"This is OUTRAGEOUS. Governor Bush needs to step up to
the plate NOW, and exercise his constitutional and legal
authority NOW, before Terri dies. But he doesn't seem
to be willing to take that chance and do it... so we
thought we should help encourage him.

So once more, we need YOUR help.

We need EVERYONE READING THIS EMAIL to call Governor
Jeb Bush RIGHT AWAY, and ask him to do one simple thing:

"PLEASE EXERCISE YOUR LEGAL AUTHORITY, AND TAKE
TERRI SCHIAVO INTO PROTECTIVE CUSTODY RIGHT AWAY."

That's all we're asking you to do. Just call Gov. Bush
NOW and beg him to save Terri's life.

TAKE ACTION: PLEASE call Governor Jeb Bush's office NOW
at 850-488-4441 (or fax him at 850-487-0801), asking him
to exercise the executive powers he ALREADY HAS, and take
custody of Terri Schiavo to save her from being starved
to death.

We've already met one-on-one with Gov. Bush's General Counsel
lawyers, showing them point-by-point exactly why the Governor
DOES have those powers right NOW. On Thursday, we're also
bringing in Alan Keyes and Larry Klayman to try to meet with
the Governor and urge him to take Terri into protective
custody. Call Gov. Bush NOW and ask him to USE his legal
powers to save Terri's life. You can also e-mail him at
jeb@myflorida.com .

You can also call his brother, President George W. Bush, at
202-456-1414 (or fax him at 202-456-2461). Leave a message
for him that he AND his brother both have the authority to
use the police services at their disposal to take Terri into
protective custody, restore her food and hydration, and
arrest anyone who would interfere. You can also e-mail him
at president@whitehouse.gov .

For the sake of Terri's life, we CANNOT afford to wait while
the courts bicker over jurisdiction -- and we CANNOT let
little two-bit judges order the Executive branch to not do
their duty."

FYI - Overnight from Tulsa for 4 bottles of water cost $34.75. If you make it there by 5:00 it will be there by noon tomorrow.

It has to be packed in a non-crushable box, and the water bottles need to be enclosed in ziploc-type bags (I even double-bagged mine, just to be sure), and you should notify the postal worker that you are shipping liquid.

The Republican Party phone # is 202-863-8500.

Now I'm focusing on President Bush. I told the Republican Party (answering machine) I've been a member of the Republican Party for only a couple of years, and I'm not impressed. I told him President Bush should use his executive powers and put Terri in protective custody, or pardon her for the "crime" of inconvenience.

I told them I would not contribute $$ to them any more.

P.S. Thanks for the link.
