His Grand Slam seemed like a foregone conclusion the way he was swinging the bat. He seems so confident tonight.

3 grand slams in one game but I don't think there were that many runs batted in but that has nothing to do with the individual batter. The score was like 12-3 or something against KC.
If we could lose the intentional walk we could really see who can hit.

All A-Rod needs is a solo homer to complete the homerun cycle?

Good for Alex. The Yank-offs will still choke and may not even make the playoffs this season.

No kidding! It reminds me of all of the "premier passes" that the talk show hosts have. I mean, Limbaugh can charge $60 a year, but others are losing money charging so much. Charge a little less and more people will buy it.

Yankee Stadium is a run down, raunchy hellhole in the middle of the ghetto. The best thing about it is the view of the Courthouse from behind home plate.

Secondly, Yankee Statium is not a hell hole. When was the last time you were there?

Presumably, the homerun cycle is 4 homeruns, one of each type: solo, 2-run, 3-run, grand slam.

Last may. It is filthy and has never quite recovered from that A-s ugly makeover from back in the 1970s.
Want an old stadium with class, go to Wrigley. Want a modern stadium with good food and better sightlines no matter where you sit, go to Safeco.

Good for Alex. The Yank-offs will still choke and may not even make the playoffs this season. Why don't you just come up with a macro of your usual screed to save time, since you post it in every single Yankees thread. Besides, you forgot to call A-Rod gay, the way you usually refer to him and Jeter.

Thanks for the statistical info!

I like history in a park. Tiger stadium was great and I didn't think I would like Comerica park but my wife and I went there last season and were amazed at how nice that place was. Still I hated to lose the history of Tiger stadium.

4 home-runs is rare
the cycle is rare
A home-run cycle would be very rare.

I've been to Wrigley quite a few time and it is a great place, especially for its age. I've never been to Safeco. I'm going to Kaufman Stadium this year in Kansas City.
I've been to quite a few ballparks and there is nothing quite like the atmosphere of Yankee Stadium, especially during the playoffs. No ballpark rivals its history or tradition. This is why it is called baseball's "Cathedral".
Anyway, A-Rod is up.

Looking at the box scores of these games: Only Rocky Colavito had 4 at-bats. Most had 6. Only Gil Hodges and Shawn Green had more than 4 hits in the game. Green went 6-for-6. Mark Whiten had 12 RBI in his game.

Still I hated to lose the history of Tiger stadium.History is important. The loss of Tiger Stadium for that very reason was a shame.
