To me, all of their songs are nearly identical...sort of a one-ton fly buzzing sound. (Could be that they remind me of my ex-husband who liked to listen to them when he was buzzed, which was at least 75% of the time.)

My reference to "Oh Well" was because its my favorite FM song of all.

You are referring to their 1980s music only. When alot of ZZ sounded the same. Try listening to any of their first 4 albums. Great Texas raw rock/blues! I'm tellin ya!
