LOL Who knew??
Thanks Sam, great poem today. Good tunes, too.
You mean you can't drink from them?????
Oh oh, another Trike faux pas, (sigh)!
LOL No, it's another kind of fire!!
Well, its not like I've ever drank hot wax out of them or anything like that!
You sure?? LOL
"You sure?? LOL"
Well, not completely, there has been a time or two when wine may have clouded my judgement as much as my walking, therefore I can't say with real certainty that I haven't.
LOL. Well, it was a great poem - full of fun.
Watching the sunlight fade
against trees silhouetted by a dusky sky
with still a hint of rosy hue
Stars are hiding out of sight
waiting their chance to shine
which is their due
Good evening Miss Feather . . . a change of pace for me, I'm trying my hand at other forms of poetry, I'm not not sure what you'd call this . . . but . . . it's definitely not haiku . . . ;-)
Excellent free verse.
It's great you are expanding your poetry writing skills.
Thank you Miss Feather . . .it feels good to stretch my wings . . .;-)
Good evening, HopeandGlory!
OH my gosh, this is hilarious!! I love it.
TeeHee . . . I googled for dragonfly wings and this was one of the images that came up . . . and of course, being the "cheeky" little miss that I am, I couldn't resist posting it . . . .;-)
dripping cobwebs of silken lace
my needles are busy
birthing a new afghan
Gorgeous, both the Haiku and the graphic.
A little something now, and maybe more once the severe weather and possible tornados drift away! ;^)
Black winds tear at the ebon night sky,
as stark white jagged spears are loosed to fly.
Trees moan in the battling winds set about,
and spirits hide as the lights go out.
Thunder walks the night, setting all in doubt,
as rain in sheets does hide the world about.
Peace is sitting by the fire, and here I tend to laze,
until Nature vents her wrath, and finally sleep in a daze!
for a hollowness within,
in the darkness,
old hurts still burn.
I welcome that,
for it means I still live,
I know I will go on,
I will remember,
even as the years turn.
My life is,
a monument to those gone,
lived to remember them,
as my emotions reel.
in His light,
I surrender to His ways,
understanding, when I but yield.
for at last I know,
I am the one, who will remember,
holding on to memorys seal.
