I like the way you think.
I like the way you think.
These double posts are annoying.
Michael obviously has one buddy -- George Greer. Let's see...gets $700K for Terri's therapy, then "remembers" that she wanted to die -- yeah, that's clear and convincing evidence? The parents, not credible...
He says he won't make a penny from her death, turns in the inventory of assets for the estate, and Greer immediately seals the records.
Now if the IRS audited Schiavo, would Greer be forced to unseal the records?
Since the medical examiner stated no eating disorder and no heart attack, why doesn't the Insurance Co that paid off in the '90s sue to get their money back. And, the doctors that were accused of wrongdoing?
I read it this afternoon. It is objective, well written, and interesting investigation of what made Terri collapse. There will be a state attorney's investigation, and I suppose it may be a cable chanel trial. However, Furman does say that he believes that Shiavo has such a bad temper that he would surely break during a proper police interrogation and spill his guts.
I read that the insurance company is out of business and the doctor was cleared at a later hearing. Unfortunately, none of this info is still on the 'net.
Um, hello! Michael did kill Terri when he dehydrated her to death!
I agree! Not only should we ask Michael questions but we need to ask Jodi questions as well since I know she likely knows something! I think she would crack to!
"Michael waited about 40 or so minutes to dial 911"
This is such bull-crap! Fuhrman is a compete idiot in his analysis of when 911 was called.
Cardiac arrest is a sudden and immediate stoppage of the heart. It is not a progressive event. It occurs much like the shutting off of your light when go go to bed at night- with a flip of a switch.
Ninety-five percent of victims of cardiac arrest do not survive the episode if they are not attended to within the first 5-7 minutes. They die. Of the very small number of victims that do receive skilled attention within the 5-7 minute window, less than half survive. Almost all of these fortunate victims are already in a health-care facility and hooked up to monitors when their cardiac arrest occurs.
It's an obvious medical fact that Michael Schiavo called paramedics within minutes- if not seconds- of Terri's collapse demonstrated by the fact that the paramedics were able to get there in time to revive Terri Schiavo. (Albeit not soon enough to prevent massive damage to her brain.) If there was a delay of 40-70 minutes from the time of Terri's arrest to the time Michael called 911, Terri would have been DOA. No ifs ands or buts.
You're right. I don't know why more people haven't pointed that out. If she collapsed due to cardiac arrest, the paramedics would not have been able to rescusitate her after 40 minutes. As it is, they had to defib her 7 times to get a rhythm. After 40 minutes? Fuhgeddabout it.
"Is it known why an investigation never occured?"
Yes, it is very well known. There was nothing to investigate. The reports from the paramedics, the officers that responded to the scene, the emergency room physicians and the family-(at that time)- did not report any suspicions or circumstances that would be cause to investigate.
We know he called 911 about 5:40 am. We also know a person can't survive without oxygen for more than about 5 mins.
There has to be a reason why Michael testified in court and in depositions that he heard the "thud" around 4:30 or 5:00 am depending on which of his stories we are to use about that morning.
I would hypothesize that there was indeed at least one "thud" at either 4:30 or 5:00 am that morning.
They lived in an apartment which probably had thin walls like most do. Maybe there were sounds and he had to come up with a story to cover for if his neighbors heard a "thud".
I would suggest as a theory given what we know are facts that Michael sat and watched Terri gurgle and gasp for breath until she had stopped breathing or almost stopped breathing and he thought she was dead or so far gone that no one could save her.
As a matter of fact, when Terri's brother Bobbi got there, I believe he said Terri was still gurgling.
No one is saying that Terri wasn't breathing for 40-70 minutes.
I might not be able to answer for a while, working at my business plus have to leave soon for more business.
Two investigations about that morning were stopped. Haven't you read what one of the investigators had to say about it?
Terri was the apple of her father's eye and she was adored by her mother. And they dehydrated her to death. Some of us will never forget.
The newspaper headline locally (day after autopsy) read, "Florida woman blind, beyond hope." As if being blind made Terri even more beyond hope.
"The paramedics called in a homocide unit that morning. They thought they were possiby at the scene of a homocide."
Not true.
The paramedics did not call in a homicide unit. A police unit responded soley because the victim was young and the circumstances of her collapse were unknown. This is SOP and is not an indication that any crime was comitted.
Yes, I did indeed read the report from the responding officer. He found nothing indicating any battery or other crime was involved in Terri's collapse. The responding officer also visited the hospital that morning and interviewed the medical staff. He also examined the radiology films and reports eliminating traumatic head injury. ("No mid-line shift")
A copy of the responding unit's report was forwarded to the homicide unit as a matter of SOP- nothing more.
Please post the link to the investigation you are speaking of.
Kinda late in the game for me to bring you up to speed...
