"He had filled the mower with gas"
AHA! That's it! Gasoline inhalation.
Thanks for those!
I really wish I could see a UFO!It would be awesome..There are those that would not believe in UFO's even if one landed in their front yard during the day...:)
Gribble, eh? Any relation to this Gribble?
Just sort of kidding. I wonder if the "watered" down oil allowed it to be pushed past the rings, thus befouling the spark plug.
My general attitude, from reading and watching various programs on it, is that i tend to believe the people who claim sightings, but disbelieve the claimed abductees.
I don't have a picture phone. I don't have a cell phone. I hate phones. I would have to be paid to carry one.
So do I. I was playing on the old aphorism that since just about everyone now carries some sort of camera, UFO and Bigfoot sightings have dropped off dramatically.
You bet. I am married to a man who hates taking anything to an expert. LOLL Why oh why did I ever tell him I could read. ;)
Good poit. I'll check that out!
I'll say here what I said on the thread of a previous post which I did several months ago about the Roswell, N.M. story.
My 5 children and I stood on the 2nd floor bedroom balcony of our home in the countryside near Boston, on a crisp, clear, cold February night around 8 PM. We each had high-powered safari binoculars, which actually wouldn't have been necessary, as we could have seen the giant UFO mothership and the little individual "baby craft" without binoculars.
The mother ship was hovering possibly several thousand ft. above one of the treelines. The baby craft were buzzing around the bottom of the mothership, going in and out of a huge lighted aperture in the bottom of the big ship.
This activity continued for some 15 minutes. Then, abruptly all of the little ones were almost like they'd been sucked up into the lighted aperture. The opening closed. No more light was seen other than some twinkling lights on the giant craft......and then it shot off at about a 45 degree angle. Within about 30 seconds, it was a spot the size of a quarter, and then another several seconds, it had disappeared.
This occurred in the early 1970's outside of Boston. Neither I nor my children have "mental problems," and I can assure you that no mind altering substances had been imbibed by any of us that night.
BTW, I have a friend who lives in Sedona, AZ, and she sees these phenomena frequently.
Shouldn't affect it if you are sure you drained all the gas. A small amount of gas left in would at worst thin your oil.
Thank for all your replys, now yous guys go back to your aliens.
Lawn mowers are more interesting - They are real.
Hey Canedawg...ever read the Book of Enoch?
Char...would you please put me on your UFO ping list?
No DS, I haven't.
I just googled it- it looks very interesting. Is this it?
It is all about fallen angels mixing with human women and the product of those unions. Many experts in prophecy make the link to Enoch's nephilim and the UFO's, abductions, etc.
Biblical scholars like Chuck Missler believe that what are thought to be aliens are actually demons or fallen angels (some people differ as to the definition of those two categories of being). The presumed strategy is that if fallen angels can make humans think they are aliens and have mucho technology, humans will drop their faith in God and follow the aliens...to their leader, Satan.
Of course, all theory.
But all abduction experiences indicate that the experience is intrinsically evil and usually sexual in nature. I don't even bother with questions as to whether people have had abduction experiences. I approach the whole matter in a more basic way. All abductees seem to suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (per John Mack, now deceased former chairman of Harvard Med School Dept of Psychiatry...google him too). Which means something happened if only in their heads or...
Anyway, let me know what you think. There are many biblical scholars that are focusing on this theory to ignore it.
See my post #72 above. If it strikes a cord, let me know.
It looks like worthwhile reading- I noticed a couple of comments about it while searching- one reader thought it linked Genesis to Revelations. another (Evangelical) group was against it, etc. Many different thoughts and a wide range of ideas.
I will check it out. Thanks.
It isn't hard to see why some people would run away from it...it is frightening.
But of course, that isn't the question. The question is...what is true?
Rely on your judgement to separate myth from fact. My experience in this kind of stuff is that the more one goes at it empirically and clinically (but with an open mind)...the more the truth emerges from the mist.
It's got to be true, Who ever heard of a Navy man who drank?
"a large cigar-shaped object hovering in the sky"
At least its the BUDGET for a military aircraft!
Dave, I assume you've pinged the list. Will check and if not after 20 posts, will do so.
HOWEVER, Some of you sent me notes to add you to the list while I was gone this last 3 weeks to visit my 82 year old Dad in AZ. I was poor at trying to keep track of them and given the vast number of pings I get as well as FREEPMAILS, I would have to search through about 300+ msgs to find those requests.
IF ANYONE ASKED ME OR DAVE TO ADD YOU TO THE UFO PING LIST IN THE LAST 3 WEEKS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AGAIN. Sorry.
INDEED, WELL SAID.
And, The Supreme Court affirmed that the classified stuff our government has on the UFO's is rightfully THE MOST highly sensitive, important etc, classified stuff there is.
So, evidently "swamp gas" is highly critical to our national security.
Can't have it both ways, d***** b*rry naysayers!
Sadly, it will all become exceedingly more evident and clearer when it's even MORE too late to do anything about it.
LOL, Quix, this message is hard to miss! Hope things are going well with you. I'm kindof off and on this summer.
The disinformation campaign [in all it's extremes, questionable motives etc] is about as treasonous, to me, as the SCUBA-TEDDY brigade in the U.S. Senate. Sheesh.
VERY WELL PUT. THANKS.
Any other detail you could add?
Did the elongating phenomena seem like a light distortion or what? Did you experience a "time standing still" phenomenon?
Any missing time?
Any other such sightings?
Thanks for your efforts.
MAY YOU HAVE RAPID, PAINLESS HEALING FOR YOUR EYE. NO FUN!
MAVIS BEACON and a few hours or even 30 min a day for half a month or so could teach you touch typing fairly painlessly.
Be careful, Beth.
imho, the critters are either in cahoots with satan or, as some assert, some ET's are bioengineered shells housing demonic critters. In any case, I believe they will be used to coerce the world into the evil, tyrannical world government.
They have it set up to go either way--with ET as saviors or destroyers.
They have not dropped off as any correlation with cell phone cameras etc.
They seem to ebb and flow according to unknown factors.
Actually, I think the brazenness of some sorts of sightings has increased. Some think the raw number of sightings has increased.
Please share any details with me whenever you care too.
Also, from your friend.
BTW, just drove through Sedona yesterday. Still one of my favorite places though I hate the New Age conquest of the place.
WEST FORK is sooooo beautiful and serene, to me.
Share more any time, imho.
Will put you on the UFO ping list
(that I manage and Las Vegas Dave does back-up duties for).
Thanks. Been that way for me, too with all my traveling this summer.
Could be better. Visit with 82 year old blood dad was mostly a bust. Super critical, blaming etc. over NOTHING--even over very kind, thoughtful, gentle, well thought out acts of servant-hearted service in his behalf done as well as could be imagined the way he'd prefer. Sheesh.
Anyway--God is still Good. It was fitting I go. Just grieved at the way he is choosing to be at the close of his life.
And, I'd expected too much, clearly, on hearing that his wife's death had made him more communicative. Guess not with me.
Hope you're having an interesting--pleasantly--and overcoming summer.
I'm having a good summer, thankyou Quix. I'm sorry to hear your visit with your Father didn't go better. Sometimes old people just get mean and cranky, you did the right thing by going so pat yourself on the back!
