Use the EMBED tag. You can embed such formats as MP3's, WAV's, or MIDI's.

I think it is just the usual HTML bracketry. It is just like IMG SRC, but instead you use EMBED SRC="location of file"
I've never done it, though. I want to, however. I just haven't got around to uploading some music.

Try something like this
<EMBED SRC="http://www.seaborne-intl.com/sounds/midi/UNITED-S.MP3" HIDDEN="true" AUTOSTART="true">

John Robinson has it setup where those embeds are not supported.

I *think* if YOU have it uploaded on a server that's yours, all you have to do is the normal html stuff to put it on your homepage.

Don't do it. I often listen to my own music or something while surfing the web. I am extremely irritated when opening a web page to be bombarded by someone else's thoughts of what I need to hear. It is an immediate turn-off.

Our HTML filter disallows background music partly because of what Jemian said. It's extremely annoying. Also, considering some people surf from work, a sudden burst of sound may... be... inappropriate. And lastly, I don't like data auto-loading from sites outside of my control (I begrudgingly allow images, only because there would be a mutiny otherwise.) There are other, more subtle concerns involved as well.
The workaround is to provide a link directly to the music, and suggest people listen to your background music to appreciate the full effect of your page.

Thanks!
I just wanted to have the US national anthem on my page.
But it doesnt matter any more now!
