Personally I thing women pressure each other to wear these ankle breakers. I think if women collectively decided to stop wearing these things the typical male would respond "Uh, OK dear" and hardly notice.

I wear no less than 2 1/2" heels every day. There's a lot of kitten-heeled mules out there that feel like sandals but look really dressy.

I think my highest heels are 4 inches, but those are only 'going out' shoes and I have to know I'll be sitting alot.

I have short, stubby legs....I HAVE to wear heels to break even.

Give me my old flip flops any day. Waaaaay back in the 60's we wore "high" heels with pointed toes. I sit here today wondering HOW???? *~*
