THE TRAP THE DEMS SET FOR BUSH
laz | 9/08/05 | laz

Posted on 09/07/2005 11:53:45 PM PDT by laz

Someone on FR asked this question:

I will say it again, did the RATS intentionally make things worse in LA to use as a political weapon ?

My answer is yes, indeed they did. They most certainly did. And they made that decision BEFORE Katrina even hit.

I outline their entire plan in a thread I posted several days ago:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1478397/posts

But before you read it, let me go even further than I did on that thread and take what I said to its logical conclusion. And if, after reading the thread, you think it's too far-fetched, just consider the slander and venom that the Left has been spewing all across the board, as if someone has pressed a button and mobilized them everywhere.

The Left set a trap for Bush, plain and simple, and it was a two-pronged trap. They willingly allowed a natural disaster to be as bad as it could be, so that they could blame the result on Bush in the orgy of slander and calumnies we are witnessing. There has been no incompetence and no stupidity (except possibly in the case of Nagin). All the chaos and mayhem we have seen are the results of a calculated, deliberate plan of INACTION so that the fruits of that inaction could be laid at the feet of George W. Bush. The failure to use buses for evacuation... keeping FEMA and the Red Cross out... failing to nip the anarchy in the bud and allowing everything to go to hell... all CALCULATED AND DELIBERATE. The entire thing has been an operation carried out by the DNC and the MSM in complete collusion, because for the past five years their entire raison d'etre has been to destroy George W. Bush for his "crime" of being elected instead of Gore.

I have described the first half of their trap. Here is the second half. They also allowed the disaster to get as bad as it could be in an attempt to force the President to overstep his authority in order to save lives. By using Blanco as a giant monkey wrench in the federal machine, sabotaging the federal effort and blocking all help, they tried to force Bush's hand into violating Posse Comitatus so they could impeach him. It's that simple. They are truly diabolical.

Do you understand now, the extent of the set-up? They wanted to use Bush's own Christian compassion (of which they have absolutely none, despite all of their pretension) to violate the Constitution in order to save the lives of the drowning and dying. They tried to force his back to the wall and create a situation so desperate where he would need to take desperate action.

I hate it when I see the Left described as stupid. Does anyone really think they could be stupid and get to where they have gotten? If they were stupid, they would not have grown into the threat they have become, and gotten to control the media, academia, and so on. They are very, very smart, and the results of their actions and policies are not unintential screw-ups by well-intentioned but misguided fools, but deliberate damage by fanatics playing by Marx's book for over four decades. Step by step, meticulously, they have gotten to where they are, and they MUST be stopped... or our nation will not survive.

As it is, Bush didn't fall into the second half of their trap, but the first half was unavoidable as soon as the MSM began the cacophony of lies and calumnies and accusations of racism. To the Dems, it's a win-win situation... but in the end, it'll be a lose-lose for them. For as the Bible says, he who sets a trap will fall into it himself, and he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him. The Truth will destroy them.

This rock they have tried to roll, because of its very size, they will not be able to push... and it will roll back on them the way it did on Wile E. Coyote every time he tried to get the Roadrunner.

"No trap. Just total incompetence. Blanco and Nagin are waaaay too stupid and inept to be setting traps."

And so is Cindy Sheehan (stupid and inept). However the dem "handlers" are quick to organize when they see what might be a chance.

I think that is partly what happened here.

It is not a trap. It is just the nature of the devil to always ask for more...

Their hatred for Bush is an all consuming rage, in all my life I have never seen anything like it. That said, their hatred will, in the end, be their undoing.

Just a prediction: the kickbacks will never be revealed, except to maybe a couple minor officials, who will swing. The contractors (if they are still in existence) will be fined, and the higher-ups will walk, pointing the finger as they go. Anyone who tries to reveal a major player will have a convenient accident, or go visit some obscure park...

Just what I expect, anyway. Anyone who would endanger an entire city for lucre will have no compunctions about arkanside.

While I can be as tin-foil hat wearing as the next guy, it is hard to believe that the Dem leadership could be that evil.

Ummmm, one word. "HILLARY".

Well, they are stupid and incompetent. But they have the uncanny ability to make it up as they go along. They are comfortable liars and have no worry about self-contradiction.

Any event will look like a conspiracy through the lens they focus on it. The lens is their common mindset. or more accurately common illness.

That's been my view as well, Money is at the root of their need to 'control' the situation, Add to Nagin both Blanco, Landrieu and any other corrupt officials LA.

From an item by Michael Grunwald Washington Post Staff Writer Thursday, September 8, 2005:

"Over the five years of President Bush's administration, Louisiana has received far more money for Corps civil works projects than any other state, about $1.9 billion; California was a distant second with less than $1.4 billion, even though its population is more than seven times as large.

Much of that Louisiana money was spent to try to keep low-lying New Orleans dry. But hundreds of millions of dollars have gone to unrelated water projects demanded by the state's congressional delegation and approved by the Corps, often after economic analyses that turned out to be inaccurate. Despite a series of independent investigations criticizing Army Corps construction projects as wasteful pork-barrel spending, Louisiana's representatives have kept bringing home the bacon."

My feelings exactly. I think the democrats felt that Bush would be an inept, one term President whom they could brush off as a court appointed President and easily defeat in 2004. Then 9/11 happened and everything changed. They lost seats in both houses in the 2002 elections, and even more in 2004.

But doesn't the BLM do most of the engineering projects in the western states?

Here's how I saw it: Blanco is one greedy little witch. She saw the hurricane coming and conspired with the rest of the corrupt LA officials to squander money from the feds. She said she needed money for evacuations and debris removal. She didn't do much evacuating at state expenses it seems, and 'debris removal' sounds kinda hard to audit. She and her cronies, including some prominent cops, saw a way to get filthy rich rebuilding the city. "Mr Pres, I need money, not people yet," is what she basically said in the letter to the Pres before the storm hit.

Nagin is their goat. They all turned their backs on the guy that wanted to clean up corruption. They really wanted to get back at him for straightening out the school system (or trying to straighten it) and since he's not the in-crowd (not a career politician) they conspired to put it all on him.

The storm hits and 1/3 or 2/3 the cops are MIA. They're gathering all the incriminating evidence under cover of the storm. Where to put it all?? Las Vegas. That's where they can assume their 'operations'.

Blanco needs to keep the feds out until all evidence is clear, but there's some kind of problem and she needs to buy time. "I need to think about your offer, Mr Pres, for a full 24 hours." "The mayor ordered mandatory evacuations, but I'm not ready to grant that. Let's test the water first." (not real quotes from her, obviously)

The opportunistic jackals came full swing on their own power, seizing the opportunity to bash Bush despite all their Constitutional knowledge of state sovereignty. They never disappoint.

Enter the Rev Jackson. "I need a distraction from shady dealings with Citgo & Chavez & Blanco and how I've conspired to keep my own race poor so that I can be rich. And Blanco's gonna blow the whole thing. So .... I see racism!" Yep. For Blanco & Jackson, it's all about oil & money.

Nagin: "The CIA's gonna kill me." He foretells his own death but mentions the CIA coz he knows that if he mentions the real killers then he WILL be dead. The conspirators want him out because when the investigation comes they'll find that Nagin is clean, and they'll find that Nagin did everything he could but was obstructed by Blanco, the cops, and the schools.

How deep does this go? Soros maybe? Lefty loonies everywhere doing business with Castro and Chavez are threatened to be exposed if the infrastructure of New Orleans corruption is ever tampered with by the Feds.

Or not.

Here are my top ten great mysteries of New Orleans 2005:

1. The school/city buses stuck in the water
2. No evacuation of low areas all day Tuesday after the levee broke on Monday night
3. Empty contraflow lanes next to packed outbound lanes
4. Red Cross not allowed in to New Orleans
5. Failure to call evacuation 72 hours before the storm (standard)
6. Delays in asking for U.S. troops
7. 1/3 of a major city police force abandoning their post
8. Convention Center never announced as an evacuation point
9. Two police suicides
10. All police radios down

Individually, all of these can be attributed to neglect/incompetence/panic. But taken together...? And one thing that has bugged me from the day violence started in New Orleans.

I have heard repeated reports about thugs using AK-47s to terrorize the victims and first responders. Fox News reported on Wednesday night that shooters were firing on a New Orleans police station with AK-47s.

But drug gangs don't often use AK-47s, it is a hard weapon to get your hands on. It is certainly not a gun that you could steal from Wal Mart.

Nobody has ever answered the questions: Why would people stuck in the New Orleans flood fire guns at police and first responders trying to help them? Where did they get AK-47s?

Evening, my friends.

A basic rule I have (not mine, but borrowed) is, "Never ascribe to malice what can be explained by stupidity." This rule applies to bureaucrats, politicians, engineers, lawyers (well, maybe not lawyers), etc.

There are two reasons which back up the rule. One is Occam's Razor, that the simplest explanation which accounts for the facts is probably true. The other is the supply of stupidity. Among humans, stupidity is far more common than malice.

Lastly, the idea that this was a plot requires an "anti-Rove" somewhere who worked out this Machiavellian plan, and then signed up assorted Democrat politicians to carry it out. Has anything in the Democrat's unbroken record of greater and greater defeats in all parts of government at all levels for 20 years (excepting only the Clintons personally) suggested that there is an anti-Rove and any such coordination?

Nope, I'm with Jim on this. No plot. Just an excess of stupidity in local and state officials. Followed by the standard ploy after the fact -- twist the facts, lie about the facts, invent some way to blame the Republicans. That's the simple explanation, which I think is true.

advance_copy, i can incorporate some of your list into my theory (post #32).

1. The school/city buses stuck in the water
After revamping the school system, they were ticked off at Nagin. When Nagin called he got, "Sorry no one is here right now ...."

2. No evacuation of low areas all day Tuesday after the levee broke on Monday night
The levee broke because it was made of hollow concrete (like the Springfield's dam on the Simpsons). No evacuation because there's no one to drive them. Cops are busy with crowd control and hiding evidence, union drivers have their own evidence to burn. How many building burned?

3. Empty contraflow lanes next to packed outbound lanes
Seems not to be true, just no pics. Word is that this was going on, albiet late.

5. Failure to call evacuation 72 hours before the storm (standard)
*shrug*

6. Delays in asking for U.S. troops
7. 1/3 of a major city police force abandoning their post
See my post. #32 I believe that in one press conference a Guardsman or Military spokesman said the cops went from 1500 to 500. That's 2/3rds gone.

8. Convention Center never announced as an evacuation point
Without the cops or the Guard around it's hard to say. Had they been there it may have been used for a base or safe haven for themselves or a storehouse for supplies.

9. Two police suicides
10. All police radios down

The corrupt cops. Were they really suicides? Were these two officers hiding something they saw being exposed? Radios were down so the MIA cops could not be called from their evidence-burning and relocating of 'operations'.

And that's where the AK-47s came from. The drugs come in from Venezuala via Citgo. The cops & dealers & even the bus drivers peddle 'em. Blanco keeps the Feds out, occasionaly squandering money from the Feds to feed the operation. Jesse Jackson keeps the poor down by playing the race card. You need an inner city to hide the operation and provide plenty of customers.

There *is* an anti-Rove, per se, but he's been around for much longer than Rove has, and his job is not to counter Rove. He couldn't really care less about Rove. His job is much larger than that.

He's been advising the fanatical and deceived, putting ideas in their heads that they truly believe are their own, for quite some time. Centuries, really. He advised Marx, Hitler, Stalin, and every other monster who has tried to lead mankind down the path to hell. And he likewise advises all the folks who follow such monsters, or who lacking a monster to follow, follow the ideas. In our times, he advises folks like Bin Laden, who has inherited the mantle, as Bush pointed out after 9/11 when he spoke of terrorism and Muslim extremism as following on the heels of fascism and communism. He also advises many much closer to home, on our own soil.

This fellow has always been around, since before even mankind, and millions today still respond when they hear his voice, even if they aren't even aware of it themselves. And they go forth to carry out his plans and do his will. When they fail, and they always eventually do, he simply conscripts some other useful idiots, for there are always many, many to choose from.

This fellow is not of the flesh. I trust I don't need to actually identify him by name.

Actually, WDSU has a weather cam focused on the mainland side of the Ponchartrain Causeway (http://www.wdsu.com/wxcam/1475332/detail.html). I was watching the camera through out the 28th of August, and the outbound lanes were bumper to bumper, while the lanes inbound to NOLA, were empty, with the exception of the occasional vehicle heading into the city. I was watching it to see how the weather was changing through out the day - didn't think to save any of the images though. In any case, the last time I checked the cam, traffice flow was still limited as it had been all day.
