AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1696) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | September 12, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 09/12/2005 4:22:45 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Louisiana is preparing for an epic legal struggle as tens of thousands of homeowners there will soon discover their insurance policies won't cover rebuilding as floods are not covered. Moreover, Federal flood insurance only covers losses up to $250,000.

Otherwise, recovery from KATRINA continues.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

George W. Bush has cut precious little spending throughout his terms, it's one of the points of difference I have with the Pres. Taxes yes, spending no.

But the cross-eyed dithering masses will probably fall for it.

We are well, thank you and hope you are the same. I like it here a lot except for the mind-numbed liberals that are around. Mr. Prairie and I are pulling double duty being truth warriors. Hence the new tagline..

Question about your budget:

Is it divided into segments, one for each Agency and a Catch All? Or is it all in one big chunk?

Good Morning to all.

I deal with the information technology portion of the budget, and that is divided into major projects, but otherwise forwarded as one, very large, massive chunk.

Bush has cut precious little spending throughout his terms

I can understand that frustration, but you have to remember there has been some dollar shifting, with additional $ going to projects the Bushies consider to be more important.

There are programs out there who aren't getting increases. (Government employees get a 'step increase' whether they get an actual salary increase or not). Salary and Insurance expenses are charged out to each Agency, and if they don't get an increased appropriation, they need to come up with it out of their existing budget (not a bad thing, just pointing out their Administrators need to make spending adjustments to recoup enough money to fund those increases for employees).

I have a great deal of empathy for anyone involved in writing the federal budget.

On another thread was the BEST Katrina quote EVER (and I might not have it exactly right):

If Mary Landrieu were as good at bussing black people to safety as she was at bussing them to the polls, none of them would have died.

That woman, Mary Landreau, is the reason my throat is sore this morning (I yelled at her insane remarks yesterday)

Randy Roads (ERR America) said Nagin used "city buses because they had air conditioning and trained drivers".

City buses are mass transit, right?

The liberals can't even get their talking points right!

I am SO sick of this issue! If I hear one more "conservative pundit" blame the President for acting slowly, I am going to scream! Those people are worse than the liberals! They are spineless cowards who won't stand up for the very man who has implemented so much of what they supposedly wanted!

Not another dime from me for any of theiere books or magazines. And to the Republicans llike Newt who are piling on, no votes from me!

Scream away!

LA Times: 10-page Internet hit piece solely focusing on the Federal response to KATRINA, implying that if the Federal Government had acted differently, everything would have been fine. No discussion whatsoever about the painfully evident problems at the state and local (what about those school buses, mayor?--oh, forgot, it's the President's fault you didn't use them because of funding constraints on mass transit that doesn't even affect school bus use) level.

Confusion at Crunch Time

GOOD A.M. TO ONE AND ALL FROM THE STILL WONDERFUL MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA!!!!

A little battered, a little bent but it is coming back with bells on, might be with the removable of one board, brick, roof at a time but it will be back bigger and hopefully better at that.
\
Gotta tell you, I use to call the guard the 'weekend warriors' but no more. I am seeing these first class troopers at their best, maybe one a lawyer, another a doctor, prehaps a barber but they are the best of the best and what I am seeing, bin laden and his 'boys' better get ready cause they are fixing to get a old fashioned butt 'whupping'.

SIL has his EXTENBDED family coming in today or tomorrow, gotta be a challenge for me to change my life style but I will, even with that 8 month baby if you get my drift;\

Now the BIG news. Yesterday I got a 'care package' from one first class lady, Carlinamom and after combating the storm, the rain, the no electricity, the darkness, cold meat sandwiches and the worst, NO GRITS. I GOT ME SOME GRITS with this care package, saved my life, I was jerking, rolling on the floor, twixting my head, oh it was bad, bad, bad but NO MORE, the package that saved my life. AND. i each old fashioned percolator coffee pot and some coffee and the sweetest package for little Allie. Got to admit, tears came to my eyes big time. THANK YOU CM.

The casino found SIL's check, thankfully.

I think I am going to take it easy today and sit around and bug D (which I am good at). I worked hard yesterday in tree removal and feel it today, ain't feeling tops today.

I know you all get tired of hearing this from me but thank you, thank you for being such good, close friends. I am so lucky and blessed to have the privileged to talk with each of you. You are all FIRST CLASS!

Talk to 'youse guys' later, h ave a good and happy day cause I sure am. Toby

Good morning!

You need to take some time to re-coop. Bugging your daughter is a good way to pass the time while you rest up.

:)

Mary "Brown Roots" Landrieu has chosen to stand with the DNC and Kathleen Blanco, consequences be damned. The more loony her statements, the more she alienates the very voters she'll need in three years. She's never been very popular outside of New Orleans, and she's not all that popular there. She's gotten by for the last 9 years by staying under the radar and being seen as a cute lady. Now that she's spouting off like the unholy offspring of Barbara Boxer and Patty Murray, she's revealing the true liberal wingnut that was kept hidden all these years.

Like Kathleen Blanco, another grossly incompetent liberal hack, this disaster has revealed just how lacking the RAT party in Louisiana has become. Blanco is finished as a politician. If she isn't recalled, impeached, or forced to resign, she'll be thrown out in 2008 for the same reason Mary's political future is on life support: New Orleans will not be the factor in the next couple of election cycles that it usually is because it will take years to rebuild the city, and a lot of those "reliable voters" have left the state. Some will return, but many won't. Without New Orleans to offset the rest of the state, neither one has a chance.

As it is, I think Blank-0 has been reduced to irrelevancy already. Those of us who've known her over the years weren't surprised by the arrogant high-handedness she's put on display for the entire world to see the last couple of weeks. She kept it hidden behind the facade of the concerned hausfrau image she's maintained for her political career. Truth is, she's an arrogant, elitist, clueless snob. Her husband and her entire family are the same way. Louisiana voters prefer their pols to be populists in the mold of Huey Long or Edwin Edwards, or at least down to earth like Mike Foster. Blanco is neither a populist, nor is she from this planet. ;^)

By the way, here's a good one: More on Katrina [Ben Stein]

Mornin' everybody!

Was out freeping the Sheehan tour last night. They were sans Cindy, sadly, but their choice to hold a peace vigil at a mosque on 9/11 was just a little beyond the pale for me.

Will post more details once I'm back from class.

Miss Mary wouldn't let Chris Wallace talk. He tried to interupt quite a few times, but when she began talking there was absolutely NO stopping her. Sen. Vitter was given little chance to say anything as Miss Mary took up all the airwave time.
