AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1696) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | September 12, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 09/12/2005 4:22:45 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Louisiana is preparing for an epic legal struggle as tens of thousands of homeowners there will soon discover their insurance policies won't cover rebuilding as floods are not covered. Moreover, Federal flood insurance only covers losses up to $250,000.

Otherwise, recovery from KATRINA continues.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

A little comic relief to ease the stress:

Four Religious Truths
1.. Muslims do not recognize Jews as God's chosen people.
2.. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
3.. Protestants don't recognize the Pope
as the leader of the Christian world.
4.. Baptists don't recognize each other at Hooters

Morning everyone.

This is the first chance since the storm I've had to check in and let everyone know we made it through Katrina in good shape. We live 15 miles north of the coast, so we didn't have to contend with the tidal surge that devastated the coastal areas, but we did get about 10 hours or so of 130 - 160 mph winds. Got some minor damage to the roof, which was put on after hurricane George in '98, and lost a bunch of siding, but overall, we did good. We finally have power back as of 10 Sept, and are back at work helping to get Keesler ready to resume it's training mission. Have been talking to the folks here that lost everything and offering to have them stay with us until they can get back on their feet. We feel it's the least we can do.

I'll check in as time permits.

Our thought and prayers are with all who were affected by this storm.

And our most heartfelt thanks to all who are being so generous and helping all of us in our time of need. Words will never be able to express how much it means.

He did an EXCELLENT job.

Drudge is reporting that CNN anchors and guests are encouraged to show more emotion and when discussing Hurricane Katrina, to show anger.

Also in the "you cannot make this stuff up" category...

ALGORE WAS SCHEDULED TO SPEAK TO LOUISIANA INSURANCE COMMISSIONERS IN NEW ORLEANS THIS PAST WEEKEND, THE ARRANGEMENTS HAVING BEEN MADE PRIOR TO KATRINA, ABOUT...

[Drum roll, please...]

GLOBAL WARMING AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO INCREASING HURRICANE STRENGTH.

Now what is a displaced global warming speaker to do?

Simple--give your speech somewhere else.

So, in a speech to Sierra Group (more to his liking, probably) in San Francisco, he says:

When the corpses of American citizens are floating in toxic flood waters five days after a hurricane struck, it is time not only to respond directly to the victims of the catastrophe, but to hold ... the leaders of our nation accountable...

And he continues...

The warnings about global warming have been extremely clear for a long time. We are facing a global climate crisis, it is deepening. We are entering a period of consequences...

Careful how you spend my money.....:-)

Ok, now we have an explanation about the Louisiana fiasco with respect to keeping the Red Cross out of New Orleans, and how Louisiana conned the Red Cross into making this joint statement, I have no idea...

Red Cross and Louisiana state officials say that the state asked the Red Cross to delay bringing relief supplies into New Orleans, and that by Saturday, September 3, the mass evacuation of the city's shelters made that effort unnecessary.
