No, I don't have a problem with anti-smoking laws in most cases.
It's the Libertarians who want to equate a cigarette and a joint that tickle me.
If they want to play that game, equate the joint to a fifth of Jack Daniels.

The only "Original Intent" libertarians seem to have IMO is getting all their vices into law to create anarchy and I am against that."IMO" from posers doesn't count for much. A handful of canned responses, and a quick exit when you have to back it up.

Leave it up to the restaurant and tavern owners. If they want a nonsmoking clientele, they can do what many have done here in Seattle and advertise as a nonsmoking establishment. No need to get big brother government involved.

Libertarians can't handle the drug issue straight on, so they try to drag in cigs, alcohol and dying cancer patients for their drug access.
I find that branch of their party to be contemptible and pathetic.

" I find that branch of their party to be contemptible and pathetic." That was my sentiment at #37.

If the tavern owners want to smoke in their private homes, they should go for it. The public places are more and more being protected.

If the libertarians are so conservative, how come they are such social liberals?

"how come they are such social liberals?" ... 'cuz it feels good, man!...
Think of a stoned hippie who wrote a book on how to grow pot, makes a few million in sales, then spends the rest of his life smoking the proceeds... Libertarian.

Just think of all the worthless druggies who's lives were saved by going to prison when they refused to straighten out. Why is it government's business to force "worthless druggies" to "straighten out"? And why should I have to pay taxes toward that end?
Chong would probably died already without law enforcement intervention.
What a load of nonsense. His health was in no more danger than a tobacco smoker's ... should we imprison them too?

Why do think that Tommy Chong is a "worthless druggie?" Are you a "worthless drugwarrior?" And why do you think that: Chong would probably died already without law enforcement intervention.
Do you have the slightest basis for that statement, or are you using the usual drug warrior tactic of "argument by making crap up"? And what exactly, in your mind, did he do that he should have gone to prison for?

If the libertarians are so conservative, how come they are such social liberals? If all conservatives are social conservatives, why do you have to qualify it with "social"?

as a Liberalitarian, my goal in life is to pay lip service to conservative ideologyBy what principle does your so-called "conservative ideology" decide which non-rights-violating acts (which drug use is one of) should be punished by government and which should not?

Because the druggies were breaking the law and attempting to grow their criminality base. Drying out in Jail is just a side benefit. :-)

Why can't you control freaks tolerate the fact that some of us like to smoke and drink? Of course, being that most Californians are health conscious FAGGOTS it doesn't surprise me that they pass such asinine laws.
Here's hoping for the day when Bakersfield has a coastline, and the girlie men currently concentrated in Cali's coastal counties get dumped into the sea! ;-)

All druggies are a waste of air, not just Chong.
Being in prison, they may get the chance to dry out if they are lucky. Many on pot mix it with other stuff as well, so it could dry them out from even harsher drugs.

I sometimes listen to old radio "Dragnet" shows, they are sooooo hokey, and I love when Jack Webb does the Camel Cigarette ads, and intones: "Camels, they're best for you."

Better question is what is the morality you have that lets you pollute the population with more cr@p"Fine, alcohol is bad
So by your logic we should ban it, right? If not, why not, since it like other drugs is bad?
