you decide...

I've been thinking the same thing for a week. Everytime the dude walks around with the ball hat on.. dead ringer.
LOL! I'll vote for separated at birth! Wow, they look like they could be brothers!
Nagin looks like a dumb version of David Blaine, the street magic guy.
And they're both idiots.
Tom Morello...now there's a guy I can't stand...
Mod, can I get a spell correction?

Holy shiite! They're like, twins! Every time I see something glorifying communism, it makes me want to spit in anger. I wanted to jump across the bar at the Winghouse and just screw this one guy's shirt up that had the hammer and sickle. I was seeing red. Anyways, he should move to Cuba.
They ARE brothers...........bro.......er, sister.......
I saw Rage Against the Machine (Morello's old band, I am sure you know that) in New Orleans about 7 years ago at lolapalooza...they actually said the following (in the backround of their stage set was an upside down American flag...oooh, they're sooo cool):
"Socialism and communism are the only true forms of political progress...capitalism is the root of all evil...don't forget we have are album and t-shirts and other gear in the back...pick one up on the way out..."
Swear on my mother's grave, that was the quote.
are=our...duh.
Never trust a man that wears a pinky ring
I have to admit that I had to google "Tom Morello", what a jerk. Yep, they're both idiots! And I guess I'm not cool as I once was.....hehehe. :o)
Also, I saw a guy wearing a shirt with CCCP the other day at Walmart. I keep hoping they'll run into someone who actually escaped from living under those monsters. That would be interesting to see!
From his website
"Killing in the Name
Some members of the police force were, and are, members of the Ku Klux Klan as well. How legitimate can a system, or a religion, be when it's authority burns crosses and practices white supremacy in the name of Jesus?"
"Take the Power Back
The title to this song says it all. Zack merges all the forces that be (school, government, culture, media) into one massive form of authority that robs culture in the name of uniformity."
"Bombtrack
Inspired by Rage's political viewpoints, this song's main theme is about general authoritive oppression, ranging from landlords and powerwhores, to "democratic" authorities."
"Wake up
This song describes the operations of the FBI's "counter-intelligence" program - which was to suppress any dissident movements in the 60s. Anyone from Malcolm X to Martin Luther King Jr. was silenced for speaking out against the government's injustices and illogic. This song appeared on the Matrix - at the very end of the movie."
"Vietnow
This song slams right wing AM radio shows such as "The G. Gordon Liddy Show", "Rush Limbaugh" and "The Laura Schleschinger Show". With completle media control, these programs are able to dominate airwaves with propaganda of the right. Fear is what controls those who listen to these programs."
I think you get the picture.
They re-popularized those shirts back in the 90's.
One of those commie idiots who shouts down capitalism all the way to the bank as he collects his album royalties...
You racist!!!!! LOL!
Lol...they were selling Che shirts...I just thought it was so funny to listen to this long soapbox, pseudo-intellectual ramble on the evils of capitalism and the need for socialism, and then segue into BUY OUR STUFF, PLEASE.
What a douche bag.
"Freedom"
Their ode to cop killer Leonard Peltier
Almost makes you wonder if the whole commie think is a marketing ploy of sorts...like he's intentionally doing it.
In college, I was a *little* inebriated in a bar one night. Saw a guy with a shirt that said something along those lines and I just went up and slugged him in the gut while calling him a few select names...he fell over in his chair and by the time his also-drunk a$$ got up I was outta there...
Probably is a marketing ploy...which makes them bigger douche bags, imho. Even more funny was the middle class/ upper middle class, liberal, college students (ok, I admit, I was one of them) that were eating the sh*t up (like it was gospel, "F*ck The Corporations, MAN!!!!"), only to leave the concert, jump in a ford expedition (paid for by daddy) and then drive back to LSU or Tulane (also paid for by daddy)...
Liberals.
Some of those songs are quite accurate...when applied to the LIBERAL establishment!!
Same thing with Queensryche. I LOVE their music but I can only enjoy the lyrics if I interperet them MY way. Their concerts flash images of Bush 41 and 43 and all this but the lyrics (which describe some very real situations) actually apply to the LEFT much more so than the right.
Sweet!
He's right. No one's ever heard of these two obscure figures and neither of them were ever permitted to address the public.
Since we live in a right-wing theocracy these men will never be honored with, say, a federal holiday or a major motion picture.
wow, thanks for the post. just curious, where did you go to High school?
I happen to be involved with artists locally, and they are exactly the same.
"Capitalism is evil, but, hey, buy my stuff."
"Oh, and please drop a "donation" in the jar."
"By the way, I will be asking the government to give me some of the money they confiscated from you for redristibution, in the form of a grant. I must remain unemployed and continue to "create" without the encumbrance of a job which would staunch my creative flow. Besides, the man gets me down. Capitalist pig."
"Hey, buy me lunch?"
"We're having a dinner party Friday night, and asking everyone to bring a dish, as well as their favorite alcoholic beverage."
I could go on and on . . .
I liked Rage way back when. A handful of their tunes were pretty good listening, and they did get the blood flowing. Of course, that had more to do with the music than the message (you don't need inflammatory political lyrics to inspire action--just see what Bismarck has to say about the effects of Beethoven's Appassionata Sonata).
I've always been a little off and actually wished that America was as Rage depicted it--an evil Empire. A sytem akin to the Principate of Augustus, with the illusion of freedom and self-rule but in actuality governed by an omnipotent genius-leader of staggering vision and propagada-expertise, is my cup o' tea.
