In one of the last scenes of Mel Gibson's controversial new film "The Passion of the Christ," a muscular Jesus, his body battered but curiously unbowed by the prolonged torture of the last hours of his life, rises from the tomb with a stern look on his face, turns and marches off into the sunset. Jesus is portrayed as an action hero in this film by this well-known Hollywood actor and filmmaker.

Clearly Susan T. really hates conservative catholics, first Mel's Movie, and now Judge Roberts - she just finished her testimony at the SCOTUS hearings today, and I felt that the silver hair Duke Alum, who is making Duke Divinity deserve its well deserved reputation as an incubator for Marxist babblers, needed a good Freeper review of her movie review, and a conservative review of her comments on Roberts.

From my point of view, if Roberts does as he advirtised with regards to being a bona fide 'umpire', sin indeed will be fought in the highest court of the land. With some grace involved ...

And Susan, as far as your accusations about the movie, I have one comment: Pharisees don't have to be necessarily Jewish. They can be anglo saxon, and female 'pastors' as you claimed yourself to be, with very short hair cuts, and anti-Father as you were so easily, and Prostestant, Ha!. In short, Phariseeism is where the letter is designed to rule, even if the spirit is killed and the heart is dead; it is wear outward righteousness as measured by man is the only thing that counts - but funny, you have no complaints about that posture, surprise surprise...

I would hate to be living near you ... I would have to watch every move I made, every word I said, every blade of grass that grows in my yard .... all just so that I could receive the label 'righteous' from you and your liberal whacky leftist Marxist anti-Fatherhood friends...

Oh, yes, lets not forget your letter to congress supporting embryonic stem cell research... because " The president of Chicago Theological Seminary, The Reverend Susan Thistlethwaite, says religions disagree "on when the developing embryo receives a soul."

Just Yuck and more Yuck. For folks like you, an action hero like Jesus is indeed needed, and hopefully Roberts turns out to 'justify' your worries.

The more I see of John Roberts, the more I like him. I believe that he will make a superior Chief Justice.

Chicago Tribune is excerpt only no matter the source.
You know that.

Who is she and why was she testifying? Oh, I see. She's a liberal Protestant divinity school professorette, which thereby makes her an authority on anything she chooses. Pity she's such an idiot, but I guess you can't have everything, and she wouldn't have been hired if she hadn't been an idiot.

Two days ago, I saw a committee that would haul that nomination. You want to get Roberts approved? You talk to me.

I just e-mailed my mother's cousin, Rev. Dr. Mark Morozowich at the Ukranian Catholic University in Washington, you may have seen him on TV around the time of Pope JPII's passing. I asked him his opinion of the film(if he saw it) since he studied at the Vatican for I believe 4 or 5 years and had the honor to have met the Pope a number of times. I thought he may have some insights about the film, it's historicity, it's accuracy etc.

What a hate filled bunch of garbage. I guarantee this self loathing piece of filth, was working on her article bashing the passion before she ever saw the first scene.

I could deconstruct this garbage line by line, but I will just point out one of her logical gems. (Christians that might focus on the last twelve hours of Jesus' live in a movie are dismissing the rest of his life). Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Gobucks, thanks for Thistlethwaite's review of the Passion. It confirms my first impressions of her today.

Roberts will be a wonderful role model to counter the false preachers and judges. Thank God for President Bush. I pray his next pick will be another devout Christian who worships the true God and will guide our Nation back to the Lord's good grace.
