i said that i find it hard to believe that 9 people were hospitalized because A: the article did NOT disclose the extent of the injuries to all 9 people, they did not answer questions such as:
Where on the body were these people hit
Were they hit at close range?
Were all 9 hit in the head or eyes
i did not say at any point of this thread that i condoned what happend, did i hold up a freaking flag going "yay!!! drive bys!!!" NO I DID NOT
I said paintball rules because i play it alot in the woods with my friends,we dont break any rules nor do we go around shooting people at random, but you guys are over here saying differently, and even with BDU's and Armor it still stings alittle,
the article sounded to me IMO,that it was more of the leftist drivel of "ban this ban that" so excuse me for questioning the crediblility of the article
I never said you condoned their actions.
I admire and respect your safe attitude in the conduct of your sport.
I just questioned your comment on why 9 people went to the hospital. I've seen some of the welts and bruises raised on friends who have played in safe venues, some have drawn blood. I can fully understand why some unsuspecting soul would seek medical advice after being nailed by these punks.
My Dad (87) has skin so thin that a hard look will raise a bruise and a brush against a hard object will draw blood. If he was hit with a paintball, we'd probably have to take him to the hospital.
I compete with handguns every weekend, and would never consider saying, "handguns rule" after some gangbangers pulled a drive-by.
Words mean things, please consider yours carefully.
I agree. I've played paintball several times with my son. Yes it stings to get hit but unless you're hit in the eye, I've never seen anyone get hurt bad enough to warrant a trip to the hospital.
