Wanted to caution everyone thinking of buying a used car, boat, or other used merchandise to use extreme caution that it is not from a storm damaged area.
Within a few days, to weeks, we will see several thousand flood damaged car, and boats, showing up at auctions and local car lots around the country.

A friend of mine bought a flood car from a used-car dealer once. Smelled like a bait bucket when it rained.
Probably going to be even more SUV's dumped on the used vehicle market with gasoline over $3 a gallon.
It won't be right away. They will need to dry them out first, and that's not a fast process. But yes, watch for those sales around the country. Happens every time there's a big flood.
Yep, ChefKeith that may or may not help. However, most people do not use CarFax, and in many cases titles will not show flooded cars. If the owner decided to clean and dump, the title search will be clean. Many ways to get around the title reports in CarFax.
Beware of flooded buses, as well. There will be lots of those available.
Yeh, but this one will come pre-sunk!
