I'm sort of a free-thinker. I think it's better not to go over that cliff with the lemmings who say Miers is bad, and reserve judgement for myself based on her hearings. They haven't happened yet. Jumping on a bandwagon without any basis but the opinions of others isn't a good way to demonstrate "good" thinking. Free-thinking and good thinking should be synonomous but frequently, they aren't.

People on these threads have been bitching about Meyers overwhelmingly, so I don't know where you've been.

Considering the USSC justices that have completely dumped the 2nd and 4th Amendments and have ruled that local government can take away your house & lot at whim and give it to Wal-Mart, I'm not real impressed with the current selection process and who has been getting screened through, so how has GW Bush done such a terrible thing here? Maybe a person should be selected based on personal qualities instead of their resume. The conventional process sure isn't making it.
