He looks away, and the next think he sees is the silent, freakishly cheerful Burger King right at his window. The very first thing out of my mouth when I saw this commercial was "This is going to give me nightmares".

It goes back even further. You're forgetting Dan "I LOVE this place!!" Cortez' ads for Burger King. (Shudder)

I really really hate these commercials. A lot. Almost as much as Ditech, Geico, and Vehix! Geico is my absolute FAVORITE!!!

Have you seen the one with the logger. I use to be a logger, loggers are friends of mine. The only thing scarier while cutting trees down would be a tree hugger.

That Burger King looks like one of Blain Kern's Mardi Gras floats in New Orleans.

The Sprint commercial where the people have different hair and clothes, but all have exactly the same face?
Night of the living dead kinda stuff??
Man, that one creeps me. I would NEVER go to Sprint just because of that commercial!!

I think Ronald McDonald could kick his ass...and, I also wondered what the hey they were smokin' at the ad agency when they came up with this. Yecccchhh.

Since the Sprint ad gives you the creeps too...I'd like to know if it is an actor or an actress in the ad, or is it some hi-tech, video version of photo shop? The speaker is sort of a weird androgynous being...I can't figure he/she out. The houses in the background, with their mid century colors and siding unsettles me too.
I need to turn off the cable...

I tried to figure out what I found so funny about the Geico caveman ads. Then when the one caveman orders the duck in mango sauce, and the other one gets all pissy and says he doesn't have much of an appetite, I realized what it is. The cavemen are bitchy little hypersensitive liberals. Wounded and petulant in every commercial, demanding respect for their particular little aggrieved group. Whiney liberal cavemen are funny. LOL...they rub me the wrong way as well, and you're exactly right about why.

Commercials, even odd ones, work. Except that I NEVER eat at BK...their food sucks.

I guess a photo-shopped pic of the New Orleans beer looting dude with the king's face will make this thread complete...

Great post! The guy is a freakin' weirdo. You know who he looks like? The lead singer from the 90s group "Spin Doctors."
"Little miss/little miss/can't be wrong!"
To: pabianice
Yes, creeps me out too.
However, they got your attention and that is what they want.

The real story behind the pulled Taco Bell dog campaign is that they ripped off the idea from the guy who does the joecartoon.com website. Joe, a Grand Rapids, MI creative genius, sued Taco Bell and won. Taco Bell pulled the ads and was ordered to pay a large sum.
