The Mozilla organization produces two browsers:
1. Mozilla -- a browser suite (integrated email) and
2. Mozilla Firefox (a browser)
They are closely related but the version numbers are different. Firefox is currently at 1.07 about to jump to 1.5.
Mozilla is at 1.7.1 .
I suspect that if you have Mozilla 1.5 you probably have a slightly dated version of the Mozilla suite.
wow. that is fast. i'm switching over today.
No....I know the difference. I have Firefox 1.5 stand alone.
no firefox integration
I have been using the release candidate versions of 1.5 and the last update moved up to release version 1.5 several days ago.
So where is it? I still don't see the new updated file available for download...
I've been around long enough to know that's not true. What you have is a browser that nobody uses, so why exploit it? If you were a demented virus writer, would you spend your time going after a couple hundred thousand users or a hundred million users?
They just don't think you are worth the trouble.
Someone just posted that Firefox 1.5 is now available.
Mods pulled the thread, but I had already saved a couple of the links mentioned.
Some download locations for the 5.8 meg file are:

If you're using Acrobat Reader 6.0, upgrade it to 7.0. You'll notice a huge difference. There was something about Reader 6.0 and Firefox - they just didn't get along with one another.
That was me - apparently it didn't deserve its own thread, but it's there :)
Still not posted as of 4:30 PM CST
Posted from 1.5, BTW :)
Let's give Cyberdog another shot!! He coulda been a contender!!
Working like a charm here!
Just downloaded 1.5 a few minutes ago. The install went very smoothly. It needed to update some extensions. Other than that, it loaded and did not change all my settings.
(I have had some previous FF installs that ruined my settings; resetting them all can be a pain.)
It may or may not work as advertised (it probably will, but don't quote me on that!), but it is in no way, shape or form the finished product.
I think I'll wait....
CA....
1.5 isn't a Beta--the RC1, 2, and 3 versions were, but this new one is 1.5 final.
Mess around with your"dealie" too often and you'll go blind.
It did not find some theme/extension updates until I ran the managers manually - I suggest manually checking for updates if you haven't already done so.
I do wear glasses.
