Steelers 0-3 Since Murtha'Move

Posted on 12/05/2005 11:18:16 AM PST by faithincowboys

Since Western Pennsylvania's own, Jack Murtha, betrayed his country, the Steelers have gone on a three game skid. Maybe I'm a kook, but I see a strong correlation.

It's never wise to include the phrase "Maybe I'm a kook" - the suspiction to post a one-word response "Yes" is too tempting. ;-)

Why couldn't Murtha have done it a weeke earlier, before the Stillers played the Browns.

I'm from Indy, and if you are right on this I would have rather taken a loss and have him keep his traitorous mouth shut than a win this way.

The correlation would be undeniable had the Steelers forfeited the games.

If you can get your typical Steeler fan to buy into this argument, Murtha will be recalled by the end of the year!

Aha, I can blame the Detroit Lions woes on John F Kennedy, since they haven't won a title since he was Prez.

Daily high temperatures in Mid-Coast Maine have been going down since then, as well.

You're right, but Murtha's crap did no favors to the Steelers. They can still turn it around, but he messed up their short term karma.

"Why couldn't Murtha have done it a weeke earlier, before the Stillers played the Browns."

Because it wouldn't have mattered. Even the Texans beat the Browns. :(
Now they've lost Edwards. Their former defensive line is performing well in Denver. Looks like they're headed towards another high draft choice to waste. I don't have faith in Crennel, he's learning on the job, and not learning fast enough. They went in leading at the half yesterday, and after the adjustments at half, came out and got whipped. (Coaching?)
The Browns have taken the place of the Bengals. Lots of high draft choices wasted. A culture of losing. The laughing stock of the NFL.
