Narnia is far better than LOTR.
Me

I just saw the Chronicles of Narnia. I have only one thing to say: don't listen to the media critics!!! It is easily one of the best fantasy/mythology movies that I've ever seen. I expected to have wasted good money on a ticket, but it actually turned out to be a clean and decent movie that still managed to be extremely entertaining. I would have to say that this movie is better than LOTR Fellowship and Two towers.

...All my friends think the movie will be terrible.

Hope you'll be able to convince them to give it a chance! If they liked LOTR they'll like this one.

the substance of faith i huge in Narnia, where LOTR is more an entertainment piece.

The White Witch and her mininuns are exactly like liberal democrats in San Francisco. The seen where Aslan is on the stone table resembles a liberal bath house with Hillary Clinton on Pelosi standing in the middle. It really is great and I expect liberals to scream about this movie.

What if they had machine guns? My money's on the beavers, then.

Well, Mr. Beaver wears some pretty cool chain-mail. :-)

"...CNN saying that the movie wasn't good."

That would be a good enough endorsement for me. I will definitely go see it.

It was with some fear & trepidation that I took my wife to see Narnia last night. With the Disney name (yes, I know they only took part in the distribution, not the production), I halfway expected to see the characters "high-fiving" each other, or a bit of "potty talk".

One word - Magnificent! Take your family and enjoy. It is true to the book. C.S. Lewis would have been proud! Also, in keeping with the book, they left things open(including the wardrobe door) for sequel(s). We can't wait!

"Perhaps it has sometimes happened to you in a dream that someone says something which you don't understand, but in the dream it feels as if it has some enormous meaning - either a terrifying one which turns the whole dream into a nightmare or else a lovely meaning, too lovely to put into words, which makes the dream so beautiful that you remember it all your life and are always wishing you could get into that dream again." - The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe

The film's getting great reviews on the Christian TV channels and programs (Pat Robertson, Cornerstone TV in Pittsburgh PA).

I'll see it again next week

It is exactly that sentiment that Disney is hoping for. As am I (to poke the liberals in the nose).

We typically hardly ever go to the movies (always wait for them to come out on DVD for rental), but we'll be paying for tickets to this one. Last two movies we paid tickets for were Passion of the Christ and the final Lord of the Rings movie.

No surprise to see leftie newspaper movie reviews are skewed negatively. We've come to expect it from them. They wouldn't know class or dignity if it hit them straight on. If it involves religion, families, ethics or the "thought of religion" it is disgusting to them and rated accordingly. Noting they LOVE Brokeback Mountain (Oscar buzz - snickering).

Reminder Snip from last year: Veteran members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have grown concerned over the choice of Chris Rock as host of this month's awards show. Concern deepened after Rock claimed only gays watch the Oscars!

Liberals will try to dismiss the movie and play it down, but they'll be about as successful as they were with The Passion...

My wife and I, in our 60's, saw it this afternoon and enjoyed it greatly. As good as the movie were the reactions of the children surrounding us. Go see it!!

LOTR does absolutely nothing for me, especially the movie. Makes my eyes bleed when those pigs start squealing and they sure do squeal a lot. :(

Pigs?
