Lovely Linda Mason has crooner Jim Hardy head over heels, but suave stepper Ted Hanover wants her for his new dance partner after femme fatale Lila Dixon gives him the brush. Jim's supper club, Holiday Inn, is the setting for the chase by Hanover and manager Danny Reed. The music's the thing.
I saw this last week. Enjoy it. It ain't no "King Kong" [ \ sarcasm ] but hey....
It's a beautiful bit of film.
AMC has cut out some parts of it for the TV audience, of course.
Darn it! I missed it! I love Bing!!
never saw but isn't this the film that introduced "White
Christmas"? (the _movie_ "White Christmas" came later...)
(and also of course inspired hotel chain name()
AMC cut out some parts? Let me guess - the Lincoln's Birthday part? I love the scene where Bing surprises the girl while she's singing White Christmas.
Nor so trivial a pursuit!
You guessed it.
It is still an excellent movie, and yet, the White Christmas surprise is the best part.
Happy FReeping, and have a wonderful Christmas.
