One wonders which glasses were closer to hand.
Me, I pour into whatever's clean!
(And if nothing meets that criterion, people call me a slattern and drink from the bottle.)

Indeed. I will scout my local bars to find the shortest, widest glasses.

My gage ... how much is missing out of the bottle at the end of the evening works for me. The size or shape of the glass is of no consequence ... my motto ... a bottle a day (of wine) keeps the doctor at bay.

This is why they developed the 45cc shot glass. Same dose every time.

Students also said they thought the tall glasses held more, suggesting they were trying to compensate for size when pouring into the short, wide glasses. Compensating for size..... of what?

"Meanwhile, pubs have started serving drinks in larger glasses and offering cheap promotions to encourage people to drink more. Ya don't say.
