If your ideal America is one where the South receives all of the benefits of being in America while living their segregated lives from the rest of us- so be it. I could not care less.
I, frankly ,am sick of seeing your comments and attacks on the matter.
Then again, for all these years- I cut you slack for being a veteran.
So here is your ideal America SW, in this small micro society of FR - a divided one- Brother against Brother.

I, for one, am ashamed that all over this forum Americans refuse to stand with another American ~for the good of and in honor of our troops- who are getting shot at.
To allow petty politics and ego to get in the way of what is good and decent for a solider fighitng in a war ~is not what I am about.

I agree with your post Diva...and I am sick of seeing our service members attacked and ridiculed. Old Sarge is a hero to my family, and should be respected for the sacrifice he pays every day.
He has a family waiting for him in the states. Yet he is serving our country so people like stand watie can have freedom of speech to stomp on him! I'm sick of seeing it!

i did NOT attack "old sarge" for being a veteran in combat, but simply reminded him that he is spewing out anti-southern, REVISIONIST, propaganda (whether he KNOWS that it is propaganda or not) and/or trying to cover-up what the minions of sherman, the destroyer, did.
what sherman did as a SOLDIER is not what is at stake here, but rather we must all remember that "winning at any cost" , while losing our HONOR,is NOT the American way. and it certainly is NOT DECENT, either. imVho, that is what sherman forgot, if he ever knew it.

PITY, that some here don't seem to understand that relatively simple concept.
and as for attacking me personally, i wonder how many of the attackers served in the military service at all, much less did 20.5 honorable years????
