I have roots in Alabama, that's where MY MOM'S family is from. Dirt poor and proud as hell. And my DAD'S FAMILY is from Pennsylvania. That's right. Way the heck above the good old Mason Dixon line. And you know what? I am glad that I was born in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA not the Southern States of America or the Northern States of America. I agree with the other poster that pointed out that atrocities were committed on both sides. It was war. Period. And while war sucks, it's also necessary at times. It just seems like a ridiculous waste of time to keep rehashing this CONSTANTLY. Blech. I'd prefer to spend my time supporting the folks continuing to fight for my freedoms today.

You attack me everyday you post on FR with the tagline that you carry, and it's offensive to me. So I usually choose to ignore you. I HONESTLY don't CARE what shade of skin anyone has -- mine isn't WHITE either. IT's a shade of brown -- albeit not as dark or light as others. I don't care for ANYONE throwing around the RACIST or BIGOT names. They are way overused around here IMHO.
