Whenever I want an explanation of international issues, I turn to Angelina Jolie.

Jolie uses her celebrity pulling power to draw attention to humanitarian crises in places such as Darfur, Chad and Pakistan.Why doesn't she use her money? Oh, that's right, it's better if mechanics, Walmart associates and small business owners send their taxes to Washington, where lots of it is spent on bureaucracy and then some is left for "programs" that supposedly help people.

Jolie had it a bit easier than that. She's Jon Voight's daughter. "Hollywood royalty" as they say. Of course she doesn't speak to her father, who from everything I know and see, is a lovely man. Do you know why they're not on speaking terms?

In the CEO of the Sofa, P.J. O'Rourke informed us that she used to wear a vial of Billy Bob Thorton's blood around her neck. Also, apparently she was caught "making out" with her own brother.
