Presidents Ronald Reagan's former allergist, Ralph Bookman, M.D., has earned the respect of doctors and patients by developing effective ways to minimize allergy problems. He is an old school scholar with a tremendous amount of valuable information for allergy sufferers.
While Governor of California, Ronald Reagan came looking for Dr. Bookman for some allergy relief. Ronald Reagan liked what he saw With Dr. Bookman its not hard to like, what you see is what you get.
"The practice of allergy has become overly complicated and complex, says Dr. Bookman. Its essentially a very simple subject, and unfortunately, some of its most effective treatments have been all but forgotten".
Here, then, are a number of those treatments, tips, explanations and opinions culled from a series of interviews and from Dr. Bookmans excellent book, The Dimensions of Clinical Allergy (Charles C. Thomas, publisher; 1985).
An associate clinical professor at the University of Southern California School of Medicine and a member of the Advisory Council of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Bookman still makes his own allergy extracts and still dispenses his highly opinionated advice to a select group of patients including the former President four days a week.
Were extremely pleased to be able to bring you this small sample of Dr. Bookmans wisdom as a special treat.

The list contains some very interesting information.
Also, I was unaware that our President Reagan was such an allergy sufferer.
Admin, please move to appropriate place if I have totally fouled up. Thank you! :D
My first post and hopefully useful to fellow sufferers.
Well, I did foul up. Apologies all around. Here is the link to the Article.
Very interesting. I'm halfway through reading, think I'll print it out and keep it handy.
lol, one of my favs. I alwaqys wonder who the first person to try this was?
LOL! Made me think, that's fine for the newsprint allergy, but what about the news? If it's the Washington Post nothing less than an open fire will do...
My seven month old son is having lots of problems and I was googling and came across it. I'm thinking of looking into getting Dr.Bookman's book.
As you probably saw above, Fred Nerks and I were joking about putting the newspaper in the oven and baking it. Seems true to course since most newspaper articles are only half-baked anyway!
(I can't figure out how water stays in your rivers if you're all upside-down there in The Down Under.)
Not only does the water stay in the rivers but when we flush the toilet the water swirls in the opposite direction, just like the cyclones do...but you call them hurricanes. Other than that, we have lots in common.
The pics were taken in the Tweed Valley Hinterland. That's on the border of New South Wales and Queensland.
Good Saturday morning down there -- from Friday afternoon here.
What's happening tomorrow already?
Haven't you heard? Islam self-destructed. Madmo was exposed as a fraud - and all over the planet the muzzies are jumping off cliffs like lemmings!
