Goldie won best of group. (I think)
Tnx, would have missed it were it not for you...and I'm not as thunk as you drink I am!
The stupid judge all but ignored the Corgis. What a creep.
The corgi didn't win!?...but, then,Clinton WAS re-elected,...no accounting for popular misconceptions :{)
Your wish is my command.
My favs have fallen by the wayside so I pulling for this guy.
What can be more political than the selection of "Best in Show? They're all good dogs...
Rufus wins! Rufus wins!
Rufus wins, Patton would be proud!
The fact that the judges don't recognize that my dogs are the best on the planet proves how duplicitous and agenda-driven they are.
Rufus beat some really nice dogs. That Golden was just beautiful.
I heard that. I got three dogs that are best in show.(My show)
I'm thrilled a pit bull breed won!!!
Yes. The Golden won his group and I missed it! I got home just in time to see him pose with his blue ribbon. Of course, I watched him in the BIS. He is a handsome dude, and we were rooting for him all the way.
I am certain that my lament here had something to do with it! 'Ya think? THe judge must have heard me complain that the poor Goldens are always overlooked in these contests.
My faves in the finals were the Golden, the OE Sheepdog, the Dalmation, and the Bull Terrier (even though the BTs are the ugliest dogs on the planets.) Rufus just had something special about him, and I noticed it Monday night too. He is a handsome specimen.
All in all, it was a wonderful group of dogs. And no offense intended to anyone, I was glad to see that there were no Poodles, Bichons, or Pekinese in the finals!
Well, at least this was a Colored Bull Terrier. Patton's white one was just weird looking! LOL. I was surprised the Corgis were overlooked.
That is a goreous Golden. He looks a lot like the ones that come out of Honey Lane Kennels here in Milwaukee. Most of them are even blonder, however, and with really thick coats.
My guy is longer in the leg than these. In fact he is so tall that I think he brushes up against the maximum allowable height for a GR. It's hard to tell because he doesn't like to be measured and has no patience for standing still when he sees the steel tape come out!
And, of course, my guy is red gold. I wanted a really blond one until I saw Max, and then I immediately decided that red was best! LOL. When I first got him his face was so dark that it matched his eyes -- almost like a Vizla.
That's what I mean about a dark face. His chin is a little lighter now that he is 5; and if he follows the general pattern, he will be white-faced in a few years.
When Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin led him up to my front door, I just gasped at how beautiful he was. I had asked for a blonde, female, 4 year old dog with good hips and housebroken.
I immediately decided that a red, male, 1 year old was even better! Love at first sight!
The pups aren't 8 month old yet. The female just got out of the vet's clinic, having has surgery to remove a couple of needles that she had ingested.
Then there is Alice, the mistress of passive intelligence.
Are those Pembroke, or Cardigan Corgis? (I can't see their rear ends! LOL.)
