Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes Baby Battle: Catholicism or Scientology
http://www.nationalledger.com/artman/publish/article_27264166.shtml ^ | Mar 17, 2006 | Angela Carson

Posted on 03/18/2006 2:05:32 AM PST by beaversmom

There has been plenty of speculation on the way the fabulous Katie Holmes is to give birth to her baby. The little one could come at any moment and it appears that Tom Cruise and Katie are already battling over the baby.

No - they are not battling over how the baby will be born, but what happens if the pair split after the little one emerges. The rub reportedly is the baby's religion - Catholicism or Scientology?

Life & Style Magazine details in this week's report that Katie is miserable and if there is a split - as that magazine has predicted - Tom’s demanding sole custody of their child-to-be. That reportedly left Katie in tears.

Normally, a custody battle wouldn’t start until after a child’s birth. But nothing’s normal when it comes to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Multiple insiders say Tom recently approached Katie with a shocking request: Give him sole custody of their baby, who’s due as soon as April. “Katie went absolutely nuts and stormed off in tears,” says one insider.

Since Tom, 43, went so far as to ask Katie, 27, to sign papers granting him custody, her dad, Martin Holmes, a Toledo, Ohio, divorce attorney, promptly became involved. Martin called Tom, the insider says, and accused him of treating his daughter like dirt. “If you don’t stop, there will be hell to pay,” Martin warned him.

Cue the rep: Tom’s rep denies the story.

There are many more details in the print article, but the speculated reason is straight out of South Park. Tom wants the baby to be raised as a Scientologist and not a Catholic.

It's tough to see Katie's dad allowing that to happen without a fight.

Cruise is a nut. I feel very sorry for Katie--she made a very bad choice and now she has to fight to at least have joint custody with wackoman.

Some mistakes you just keep paying for. And she's only started.

I call for a boycott of "Mission Scientology III" this summer to send him the message.

1. I can imagine what kind of "Catholic" upbringing would be in store. The Hollyweird view of being Catholic is all about advocating lesbian bishops, eco-radicalism, and spitting on the pope.

2. It would be nice if the kid actually is raised a Catholic.

3. A Catholic's marriage cannot be accepted by the Church unless the non-Catholic spouse agrees to rasie any kids as Catholics. So, either the Catholicism was never that iportant to Nicole and she never had a recognized marraige (and so I won't cry for her), or Tom is renegging on his promise (common in these situations).

Some mistakes you just keep paying for. And she's only started.

I was going to say something chastising about her marrying into a cult, but your last statement made me pity her.

Yes, she will pay one way or another for years. And it's not likely Hollyweird will side with any conventional aspect of the story. They'll side with the freakish cult.

Where have I heard this before?

Sorry, I can't remember.

I thought this was settled months ago.....that the baby would be a scientologist. Tom is a control freak and no way was this overlooked. I can only guess Katie agreed on a Scientology baby but then backed out. Not that I blame her.

I'm sure more than anything else, her parents want to slap her upside the head for hooking up with this hollyweird freak and having his baby. Its daughters like this that put fathers in an early grave.
I've heard she's as dumb as a bag of hammers, but man, talk about selling your soul to make it to the A-list. To have this psychologically unstable homos child and pretend its a real marriage.

Inside Scientology

Unlocking the complex code of America's most mysterious religion

The faded little downtown area of Clearwater, Florida, has a beauty salon, a pizza parlor and one or two run-down bars, as well as a bunch of withered bungalows and some old storefronts that look as if they haven't seen customers in years. There are few cars and almost no pedestrians. There are, however, buses -- a fleet of gleaming white and blue ones that slowly crawl through town, stopping at regular intervals to discharge a small army of tightly organized, young, almost exclusively white men and women, all clad in uniform preppy attire: khaki, black or navy-blue trousers and crisp white, blue or yellow dress shirts. Some wear pagers on their belts; others carry briefcases. The men have short hair, and the women keep theirs pulled back or tucked under headbands that match their outfits. No one crosses against the light, and everybody calls everybody else "sir" -- even when the "sir" is a woman...........More over here

I'm pretty certain that this was also one of the reasons behind the Cruise-Kidman breakup. She wanted their adopted children to have a Catholic upbringing and Tom was all Scientology.

Anybody seen Tom exercising his parental rights with those kids?

I'm glad Tom has found a "religion" that works for him, but I hope he learns the lesson that's been taught throughout history--you cannot brute force people into religious conversion. Didn't work during the Crusades, didn't work during the Inquisition, didn't work in Puritan America.

What he doesn't realize is his whacked out behavior actually DISCOURAGES people from even considering exploring his "religion".

We can thank the Clinton Administration for their tax free status. In fact, Clinton assigned the case to Sandy (pants) Berger.

Bill Clinton wanted a positive portrayal of himself in the movie "Primary Colors", and after the cult got the assurances they wanted that the Clintons would also pressure foreign governments to support the cult, Travolta and the Church of Scientology agreed use their massive clout to protect Bill and Hillary.

There are numerous other examples of the incredible politics involved here in that thread.

I never ever agree with boycott's (just a personal decision), but I will boycott Tom Cruise from now on. I tell you he WAS such a great Actor and person, but since he divorced Nicole Kidman, he has become horrible and crazy. He is forcing his religion on people and that is just plain wrong. So I hope everyone skips Mission Scientology III this summer and everyother movie he is in. I was pissed at Katie Holmes for getting herself in the position of pregnant with a sleasey idiot, but I bet he talked the smooth talk to her and she was just too immature to understand the BS coming from him. I now feel sorry for Katie and figure she just made a mistake due to the overbearing jerk called Tom.

>Aleister Crowley, who openly supported the National Socialists, was affiliated with Ordo Templi Orientis, A.A. (Order of the Silver Star) and other such occult lodges all across Germany. Crowley engaged in all manner of deviancy, homoeroticism, sadomasochism and murder. Much of the occultism in National Socialism is derived directly from there. Crowley envisioned himself as the Great Beast (To Mega Therion), just as der Fuhrer made himself in that image. Hitler's life as a struggling, inept artist was where that association blossomed.

Crowley's creed, "Do what thou wilt, shall be the whole of the Law," (which is actually from Francois Rabelais) and used by Neo-Pagan nutcases without attribution for obvious politically correct reasons, is with certainty no different than the National Socialist "will to power," or their ubermensch mentality.

It is also no accident Nietzsche's "over-man" and nihilist philosophy and resulting insanity from venereal disease closely mirrors the insanity of der Fuhrer.

These occult orders, sex and drug cults still survive today, as do the Neo-pagan, Neo-Nazi groups, black supremacist Rastafarian potheads, prison gangs and other related filth.

Crowley occultism is also from where L. Ron Hubbard emerges with Scientology. Note the NAZI symbolism of that kooky cult of weirdos and their deviant adherents who advocate homoeroticism and other perversions. Hollywood Cultural Marxists love Scientology.

For the record, I like Cruise movies, never heard of Katie Holmes before she got hooked up with Cruise, and think Kidman is the ice princess.

I can think of several memorable parts Cruise played, and not a one by either Holmes or Kidman. Does that matter? No more than how this kid, who's going to be very rich and very good looking, is raised.

This is my first posting here. I have followed this site for several months and enjoy the discussions/debates. One issue that I do not understand, is why we as conservatives, give a minute of air/internet time to these pukes that have nothing of value to the interest of the American Way. They are "Actors" = bull shi**ers as a profession. They have a platform of status, with no credentials to back-up their thoughts or beliefs. It kills me to hear that the public cares that Jessica Simpson's dad says that "oh she loves the president". Who cares? Brit, voted for Bush, who gives a crap! Clooney, Streisand and the rest of them are less informed than the posters here. Why even recognize them? We play their game when we do.

I was thinking more like Michael Jackson and his strange "fatherhood".

Somebody ought to step in and do an intervention for that poor girl. Stupid is as stupid does, but Katie Holmes shouldn't have to pay for this stupidity by losing her child.

Tom Cruise is insane, and I'd bet my eye teeth that his career will officially be in the toilet after the release of MI3.
It is a cumulative effect. Tom fired the manager who kept his sick ways in the closet for years, and now we can all see the Scientology psychosis that completely controls him.
I feel no sympathy for him, but I really do hope that someone helps Katie Holmes and her baby.
