I don't miss Star Trek, because I have TOS on DVD. I can have Star Trek whenever I want!

Dr. Carter is also helping me get over my sense of loss...

Oh dear god no. Star Trek will never work with that mongoloid Rick Berman in charge.

Ron Moore is absolutely correct: let the franchise lie fallow for a decade or so.

Nope, I have all the ST I need on tape and DVD. I agree, let it rest for a good while.

What I miss is The Time Tunnel!

If this version of Dr. Who is all there is, then, Yes.

But do I miss Star Trek TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, The New Voyages, or all the movies?? Gee?? :-)

Last week's episode was the season's high point.

I only watched it a couple times and not sure what I make of it... kind of strange. :\

I haven't missed Star Trek since Deep Space Nine, the last good Star Trek show, ended. I'm more then happy with the shows they got on the air, now. Stargate SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, and others all blow Star Trek away, easily. Especially Voyager and Enterprise.

Nope. Not one bit. It was getting really stale.

Me, too. It's easier to like it if you realize it's supposed to be a bit dorky.

The Long Game is a strange one. Next weeks 'Father's Day' is my personal favourite of the season.

Do I miss Trek? Nope. TNG was the last Trek series I made a point of watching. If they had done a post Star Trek 6/Pre-TNG series with Captain Sulu, that would have been cool. Another missed opportunity was divorcing Trek from the Andromeda plot. Originally it was to be a Federation Starship flung into the future where the Federation has fallen and Vulcans have gone violent.

Answer of the Day: NO. If you asked about B5 on the other hand...

I was a fan of the old version when I was a teenager, long, long ago. THis new series has better production values. Last week's show was a fantastic demonstration of the Daleks and exactly how tough they really are. Mind you, I imagine that was likely the most technologically advanced design. And they finally showed how they handle stairs!

I'm also interested in this 'time war' that seems to have been waged between the Daleks and the Time Lords, with the Doctor being not only the sole survivor of his race, but also the instrument of his race's destruction. It adds a burden or guilt on his concience that the old series lacked. It also had a bit more character development with him gleefully wanting to blow away the last surviving Dalek.

What I miss is a station which runs classic Sci-Fi: Space 1999, UFO, even Lost in Space would be better than 99% of what passes for "Sci-Fi today" (the new BSG being the lone bright spot).

Also, I find this incarnation of "Dr. Who" a disappointment. IMO It lacks the charm and humor of previous Dr. Who(s), particularly Dr. #4 (Tom Baker, below).

I miss Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek is a bunch of socialist tripe.
