Pop the corn, this is getting interesting!
No, the parents need to contact the governor and insist that the AG step in. If he has to send the National Guard to Duke to help protect these players from these self-identified racists who are going there to interview lax players, then that's what should be done.
What event the other night?
I just saw that. The NBPP is going to do whatever they feel like doing and the authorities won't have the guts to stop them.
Good. That covers her $400 for the 4 minute performance she didn't get paid for.
I look at these developments in a positive light. If this is the biggest issue motivating the "New" Black Panthers, then we're not doing so bad as a country -- race relations-wise.
I was in college in the late 60's when we had the "old" Black Panthers strutting around -- Bobby Seale, Huey Newton, Eldridge Cleaver, Angela Davis. Then, they had real issues to challenge.
An interesting side note:
"Former leaders of the Black Panther Party, which was born in Oakland during the turbulent '60s, are threatening legal action against a group using the same name but espousing racist and anti-Semitic views.
The original Panthers' list of complaints against a loosely knit organization calling itself the New Black Panther Party includes copyright and trademark infringement and unfair competition.
Original Panther co-founder Bobby Seale, who recently moved back to Oakland from Philadelphia, said the New Panthers are made up of "xenophobic idiots" with a religious agenda.
"They're a bunch of idiot extremists in the same way that a racist Ku Klux Klan and a racist Nazi is," he said."
Maybe they can get the pigs to bust them.
Plus a $30 "tip".
They're Jesse Jackson squared, looking for the cameras and justification for their existence. They're the armed, hateful spinoff of the Nation Of Islam (New Black Panther founder Khalid Muhammad was "deposed" by Louis Farrakhan for his violence-inducing speeches). For example, "There's only two kinds of white folks, there's only two kinds," he said, "bad white folks and worse white folks. ... [Malcolm X] said if you find one good, kill him first, before he turns bad. Because he's only faking."
They're calling for separatism when blacks in general want integration. If they weren't using the Black Panther name, people would ignore them -- and they know it.
Geez. Post 9/11, I can't imagine that having a name like Khalid Abdul Muhammad is going to open many doors.
Unless they're applying for a position with the Department of Homeland Security.
I hope the student have plenty of raw eggs on hand
If the mayor and Nifong are cooperating with these black terrorist thugs and this circus isn't shut down soon, Duke students are all in danger. Who in the hell wants their kid attending a university that shoots and smears students first (without evidence) and insists on prosecuting and ruining their lives? If I had a kid who planned on attending Duke next year, we would be shopping for another university and I'm not kidding.
I wonder what Malik Zulu Shabazz of the New Black Panther Party and his gang of thugs has to say as the charges have been dropped. He sure was talking before and I have found nothing in the news recently.
Perhaps this is a factor.
However, in this news alert the old Black Panthers claimed they were never a "hate whitey group" as are the New Black Panthers.
I don't find that to be a credible assertion by the "old" Black Panthers.
Perhaps Malik will make a statement soon, once his group goes into the bold by calling themselves the Black Islamic Front or somesuch.
Lol! neither do I. The Old Black panthers are a bunch of criminals who found some success with this version of the race hustle. Lots of them went to prison. I will say they were a lot tougher than the present bunch. Rap Brown excreted chunks of tougher guys than Malik Zulu Sabazz.
