All of the last three winners won their buyins from satellites on pokerstars.com. I played at pokerstars two years ago, but left because it was and is simply too crowded. I now play at ultimatebet.com. And I do play for real money, but mainly the tournaments.

I love to see when one of Hellmuth's opponents plays a bad hand, gets lucky and beat him. He'll stomp and cry about it for an hour.

Yeh, Hellmuth is iffy...I think he's a good guy but he went too far on that one soft spoken good-ol-boy from Texas that had him wired in. (The guy wearing the black cowboy hat.)
The other 3 are flat out no class jerks.

With the exception of Hellmuth, I agree. Hellmuth whines a bit, but he is a good guy basically. I agree. I caught him on with Laura Ingraham a while ago and he can take it as much as he can give it. He seemed like a good guy.

Check out the ESPN website. Apparently, coverage of main event will start in September, and we won't get to see the final table until well into October. This is a strange way to go about covering an event in which a lot of people have an interest -- imagine if they covered Wimbledon or the the Masters that way!

I stand corrected on Hellmuth. He's ok. a little much at times.
I loved it when Annie Lederer beat him in that 2 million $ showdown last year.
basically cried afterwards. : )

You put your money in and someone else goes home with it! Good one lol, however a lot depends on how lucky you are in any particular tournament and at the bare minimum, you to have an inkling at least of - when to hold 'em - and when to fold them.

WHile we're at it, you can add the Unibomber and that obnoxious hippy dirt bag from England that almost got kicked out of the tourney last year, to the list.
To: Hammerhead
(The guy wearing the black cowboy hat.) Yes, I've watched him play; he's from Alabama. Soft spoken guy and he's a Preeeettty good player!

Yep.

I enjoy a good garage game, but have never played in any other kind of game or tournament. Hold'em is a hard game to play - well. It's real easy to play poorly!

Yes, lol, he does tend to whine/whimper a bit after some beats. Funny.

It's real easy to play poorly! So true. I've played for a few years and I consider myself -just now- being able to do half decently. And that's why I play the tournaments mainly and not the tables.
To: Hammerhead
That has got to be my favorite game. Annie had him twisted seven ways from Sunday and Phil could do nothing right.

Sounds painful. You should see a doctor about that.
To: frogjerk
yeh, drove him bonkers. ha!

So Danny, who I guess had too much to drink, said, "I gotta a flush on the river!"
But Tommy, not to be outdone, told him, "Ha! You couldn't beat my nuts!"
Sadly, Tommy, was mistaken because Nick did just that when Nick beat Tommy's nuts with house full of queens.
