Obvious offsids. Adriano was running behind the defender the entire run.

'I hope that Spain will defeat Brazil in the quarter final. :)'

Me too. England could do with another easy match. However, the darkhorse Frogs will defeat the Spanish today.

*Sigh* and I gather it's another incorrect offside decision.

When will there be a correct call?

Is this World Cup going to result in video technology being used?

Yep, it was offsides. Brazil has the luck of the dummies. But their soccer play has-been good. They don´t perform like the "artists of soccer" they pretend to be.

From the Guardian:

44 mins: Brazil 2-0 Ghana Injustice! Lucio charged forward and fed Cafu down the right. He centred to Adriano, who tapped it home from a clearly offside position! Another scandalous decision in this increasingly farcical World Cup

From BBC:

45 mins: GOAL Brazil 2-0 Ghana Adriano doubles Brazil's lead, tapping in a cross from Cafu after a sweeping end-to-end move - but it was clearly off-side. Immediately before, Sulley Muntari almost tip-toed his way through the flaky Brazil defence at the other end.

From the Times:

45 mins: GOAL! Vintage Brazil. Ghana are attacking, 15 seconds later the ball is in their net. Lucio picks it up in the middle of his half, gallops forward, feeds Kaka, then Cafu on the right in the blink of an eye. His cross is deep, where Adriano has been quick enough not just to get up the pitch, but also to be offside. However, the richochet is enough, it goes in and the linesman is harrangued. Still, that's 2-0.

After all these calls, probably sooner.

Speaking of incorrect calls, I should ask the mods to remove all of my soccer predictions.... I am batting zero;)

Running away from your queer references too? That's wise.

I am a soccer fan, but talk about frustrating. "Soccer Countries" get the calls (or no calls) and "non-soccer" countries don't get them.

As you said, football is on it's way, but I prefer college "Go Irish"

Did Ronaldo not score first... what is this about off sides on the second score from Adriano?

Games are won by a 1 to 0 Score... Give Ronaldo credit.

Catch me if you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ronaldo to FreeRepublic:

"Get over it, all we have in Brazil is soccer - we don't even have food... that is why we are so good at soccer and that is, also, why you should not call me a Fat Cow."

Argentina should have had a goal right at the end of the Mexico game but it was incorrectly ruled offside. Mind you, they should also have had a player sent off at the end of the first half.

The offside calls don’t seem to favour the big teams, they just seem to favour the wrong decision!

I’ve never seen such consistently poor judgment.

Credit to Ronaldo for breaking Muller's record.

History was made today.

Ghana needs to finish better.

They even looked good at times against Italy, but their finishing was terrible. Looks slightly better this time, and they are unlucky to be two goals down.

"Is Ronaldo still a Fat pig/cow?"

He's still fat, for a footballer.

Doesn't mean the great lump can't score goals.

Okay, I'm patient.. Let us see Brazil score 2 more times... so that your argument is meaningless.

I'm sure if Ronaldinho was an attacker the score would be inflated. Who here agrees with me?
