JOHN LENNON DOCUMENTARY ABOUT TO SHAKE UP THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE"

Pffft. In their dreams.

"From the studio that brought you Fahrenheit 9-11".

Here we go again. When are these people gonna get their heads out of the @ss of the '60s? Nothing is working for them, so they commence to dig up the bones of their number one anti-war hero John Lennon. Problem is, none of that is relevent today. But they just can't let it go.

How sad.

I wonder if Drudge can sue them for ripping off his site?

And somebody's fancy coding makes that link say Drudgreport when it actually takes you to the spoof page. Don't be fooled by the "Grudge" Report.

Memories of John Lennon are as relevant as thinking about Edsel automobiles. Keep drinking the purple Kool-Aide, you 1960's kids.

Maybe Julian wouldn't have been so messed up if John had extended his "love" to his own child. Say what you will about the artist, but don't make draw any deep moral sustenance from Lennon.

Now that is theft of intellectual property.

Paul would be very happy.

He'll be flattered by the imitation.

Thankfully, they didn't post the 'Two Virgins' cover.

THe story of John Lennon: What happens when liberals control the media. Communism wins, mass murder happens, and I guess this time they want terror to win also. OK...Tell me how you feel Yoko when New York city is in ashes. Oh but that`s right, you can always move out beforehand to any one of your 20 mansions around the globe. Meanwhile everyone else is stuck here.

I'd bet they cleared it with Drudge himself beforehand otherwise there would be an easily winnable lawsuit.

I think this is just further proof of how much he likes Hollywood and gossip. That's why I don't care for his radio show.

I liked John quite a lot. ('Give Me Some Trurh' and 'Across the Universe' were pretty great.... among others.)

But, I just wonder what he'd have to say about these insane Islamists today.

It really is an interesting question.

Lather was thirty years old today,
They took away all of his toys.
His mother sent newspaper clippings to him,
About his old friends who'd stopped being boys.

There was Harwitz E. Green, just turned thirty-three,
His leather chair waits at the bank.
And Sergeant Dow Jones, twenty-seven years old,
Commanding his very own tank.

But Lather still finds it a nice thing to do,
To lie about nude in the sand,
Drawing pictures of mountains that look like bumps,
And thrashing the air with his hands.

But wait, oh Lather's productive you know,
He produces the finest of sound,
Putting drumsticks on either side of his nose,
Snorting the best licks in town,

But that's all over...

Lather was thirty years old today,
And Lather came foam from his tongue.
He looked at me eyes wide and plainly said,
Is it true that I'm no longer young?

And the children call him famous,
And the old men call him insane,
And sometimes he's so nameless,
That he hardly knows which game to play...
Which words to say...

And I should have told him, "No, you're not old."
And I should have let him go on...smiling...babywide.

(Grace Slick -- Jefferson Airplaine)

How true. It's starting to get sickening how his estate is trying to market John as still relevant.

>Lol! I'm a 60s kid. But I grew up -

Just IMAGINE if
you were an unschooled young punk
from Liverpool [!] and

you got tossed into
the music business grinder
as a teenager.

Think you could stay sane?
Think you'd write kick-ass music
while losing your mind?

Sure, the guy went nuts.
But he wrote and sang great stuff
when everyone else

was a Pat Boone [!] clone!
And who else stuck it to Paul
so straight from the heart?

------------------------------------------------------------------

So Sgt. Pepper took you by surprise
You better see right through that mother's eyes
Those freaks was right when they said you was dead
The one mistake you made was in your head

Ah, how do you sleep?
Ah, how do you sleep at night?

You live with straights who tell you you was king
Jump when your momma tell you anything
The only thing you done was Yesterday
And since you're gone you're just Another Day

Ah, how do you sleep?
Ah, how do you sleep at night?

Ah, how do you sleep?
Ah, how do you sleep at night?

A pretty face may last a year or two
But pretty soon they'll see what you can do
The sound you make is Muzak to my ears
You must have learned something in all those years

Ah, how do you sleep?
Ah, how do you sleep at night?

I totally agree. Lennon, leftist that he was, was an incredibly talented guy. Some of his stuff sounds pretty dated, but some of it still holds up today.

But(monkey) digging him up to try to bolster their anti-war position now in 2006 is laughable. There's just no comparison. First and foremost - there is no draft. This is an all volunteer effort. So what are they protesting for? They don't have to go if they don't want to. That's what all the 60s protests were about. Second, these Islamo-nutcases brought the war to us, right here on our shores. The Viet Cong never did that.

Only the dumbest of the dumb would compare the 2 eras. Unfortunately, they've got REALLY BIG mouths and they're hurting the effort.
