Forgot to mention that post 216 provides a little insight about what types of people were on the ship. Interesting IMO...

Thanks for letting us know.

As expected it takes a FReeper eyewitness to unveil the truth that many of the evacuees are not really "Americans", just as Debbie Schussel has been reporting.

In spite of all the whining by many of the Americans stranded in Lebanon (and relatives at home) the supposed lack of preparedness by the U.S. to rescue them was stacking up to be Katrina II scenario ... is falling apart.

Hey, the first group is now on the ground in Baltimore! Just touched down! Two more flights not far behind them.

Hooray!

Also, here are the clickable links to rebel_yell2's first "I'm out of Lebanon" posts:

Acck, I'm posting while eating hot buttered biscuits with grape jelly. Thought I would just be reading, not posting! Got to wash my hands and finish eating before posting again!

I freaked out, scared, I cried. Disappointed at the US COMPLICITY in this, an atrocity, so many civilians died...300 Lebanese died...David Merhige is an "American" evacuee. I don't feel great to be back...knowing what's going to happen there now...

Yep. Just saw him and heard him - my local news cut him off and I was very glad. He said he was Lebanese and not glad to be here. He speaks English just fine without an accent.

He said the "script is written" and the "whole world is playing along with it"!

We paid our tax dollars to get this scumbucket out of a place of sure death! I am irate.

Oh, he said what Israel is doing does not look defensive to him at all, nor to *anyone else* he has talked to. *We all* believe these are offensive actions, not defensive.

Rte66 posted the following information. I wonder how many *true* Americans of the 1200 there were.

Nashville is a large amphibious vessel. It isn't allowed to dock at Beirut Harbor. They first sent out 40 Marines on a smaller landing craft when they arrived.

Then the Marines helped 300 evacuees per trip get on the landing craft and go back to the boat. They did that 4 times to get the 1200 onboard the Nashville and underway to Cyprus.

Saying that was assuming that all went as expected - I haven't seen a report on it.

He said he was Lebanese and not glad to be here.

Then why did he leave Lebanon?! No one forced him to leave. What an ungrateful SOB. An actual American could have taken his place. Really, why can't the MSM find some happy Americans to interview?

Look at that smirky face....and read his hateful hate-filled words against America.

I'm sure our guys tried hard to sort out who goes, but leave it to the media to highlight this piece of excrement!

On the other hand....FOX just highlighted a lovely couple....a beautiful representative of USA....I believe they're missionaries because he mentioned a 'ministry'...and they interract with Lebanese in sports or something....just a lovely, American couple...

..and they were so appreciative of the efforts to get them out, of the Marines...

..and said they understood it took a while because our country wanted to 'do it right'.

So wish we will be seeing/hearing more from folks like this ....rather than the smug guy in this picture.

The nuts claim this is a script and the beginning of something bigger. I got a link yesterday from a friend who can stomach the kook websites. If you want to see what they say, I can send you a link. I would surely understand if you declined.
