I was not aware that Gammons had a stroke. I hope he survives and lives another 30 years. I still think holds unreasonable sway over what goes on with the broadcasts. Although he had all the dirt and knew baseball pretty well, he is/was quite unbearable to watch and listen to.
If that makes me a dumbass then so be it, d*&#head.

Is there ANYONE worse than Brent Mussberger? He is THE most self absorbed sports announcer I've ever seen (next to NY Yankees play by play guy John Sterling that is).
Wilbon and (especially) Rhoden are class-A Clymers, and just part of the reason why the four-letter network is so unwatchable. Toss in Stuart Scott (can I get a booooyah?) for good measure.

I always enjoyed Reynolds while he broadcast from the Little League World Series. He seemed like he genuinely liked being there. Of course, Brent Musberger takes over for ABC for the finals and the quality of the broadcasts plummet.
I like Miller but what is the deal with his hair? What other bald 70 year old is going with the mop-top look?
I can't really stomach ESPN for very long. I'm outside the 18-39 yo demographic that they target. Every segment or story is a dumbed down sound bite for the attention span impaired.

I agree on both counts. I actually have turned off college football games I have really wanted to see because Mussberger is so intolerable.

And you know what else? I don't want to SEE the motherfu*kers who do TV play-by-play... I just want to... HEAR them. Let'm do their glib commentary and get their face shots on those sports, panel shows... just show up and do the game!
