From our "man in the field" at 1:42 PM - They're going to bring the covers out for a bit, maybe take an early lunch. Bermuda/USA has also been suspended for now, at 158-1 (27 overs)

"Our man in the field" reports: The rain has stopped and the skies to the West look lighter.

They are taking the auxiliary covers off on the Canada-Argentina pitch, and the umpires are having a walk around on the USA-Bermuda pitch. It's only been 49 minutes since play was suspended, so seeing as how they've taken lunch in this time, they may not lose any play at all here.

Looks like play has resumed. Let's hope the "rain delay" did not affect our batsmen.

United States are 169 for 2 after 29 overs

Massiah out for the first time in this tournament. I am not sure which batsman has replaced him, perhaps it is Cush.

Massiah's batting average for the tournament used to be infinity, it is now 271. Crazy.

Team USA finished at USA 213 for 4 in 34.3 overs.

Bermuda would have needed 163 in 25 overs, and had scored 14 runs but had already seen 2 wickets fall in only 2 overs.

Bermuda was offered the chance to go off due to the bad light and they wisely took it. The match was abandoned with each team receiving credit for a tie.

Tomorrow's match with Canada will be very important. The USA can tie Bermuda with a 3-0-1 record tomorrow with a win over Canada. Then the tiebreaker will be net run rate.

Live ball by ball coverage of tomorrow's match will be on http://www.cricketeurope.com

There will likely be another recap article of today's play courtesy of the ICC. I will have that article up on here sometime tomorrow.

Getting down to the individual hits off the cricket bat....if the batsman hits what we would call a fly ball over the fence...any direction since there are no fowl lines in cricket you get 6 runs. This is the equivalent of the home run in baseball and is known as hitting for six. If you hit the ball and it manages to roll to the edge of the fence but not over it you get 4. Anything else it's how often you can run between the wickets before the fielders can return the ball to the wickets to prevent further runs...typically this is less then four runs.
