My husband and I finally went to the movies last night and saw the film the "Night Listener." We haven't been to the movies or rented any films lately because basically everything that is coming out has just been crap IMO except for a few films like "Walk the Line" and the "Cinderalla Man."
Well after a few minutes into the film, my husband and I turned and looked at each other and I said to him, "What in the hell?"
The film is packaged, sold and MASKED as a psychological thriller based on a true story of a nationwide popular late night radio host who is in search of a young boy who may not exist. What they don't tell you in the adverstisment on TV, in the movie trailer, or reviews on line, the point of this thriller is, not to solve the mystery, but to conditioned the viewer that homosexuality is normal and straight is not!
The highlight of the film, the story in itself surrounding the mystery is about a homosexual couple's off and on again relationship. Robin William's parnter is so intelligent by listening to one phone call, he solves the mystery. Every straight white person performing in the film is fat, gross, stupid, naive, superstitous and untrusting from the policeman, convenience store clerk, nurse, waitress, etc., except for Robin William's father who is just an old eccentric because he refutes pedophiles that abused young boys are straight, but indeed are homosexuals and to believe otherwise is New Age nonense.
The homosexuals in the film and an asian friend are gorgeous, beautiful, loving, helpful, friendly trusting people. The F word is consistently thrown around haphazardly. Their cause needs support. When you have a situation that needs help of another call a friend, share a joint and the two of you will intelligently solve the problem afterwards. I also found out homosexuals don't celebrate Christmas; not surprised. Expect to see their next agenda trying to eliminate that.
The other main character in the film protrays an ugly (on my worst day I could look better) deceptive, hate filled, foul mouth STRAIGHT female pyscho.
This film should of been reviewed as a psychological conditioner imo, with the initials PC.
Either the author of this film, is telling their own real life experiences or that of another, enshrouded by a mystery that is suppose to be a true story, that goes in the pysche of a very delusional sick person imo and a path I wish not go down.
At the end of the trailer of this film it says, "Let the Truth Be Told." The truth is my husband and I got lied to and ripped off!
Thanks for posting.
I think this is why people are not going to films, even those touted as 'conservative'; because the general audience is suspicious.
I am. I always have the sneaking feeling the filmmakers are going to pull a fast one after I've paid my money and am sitting with hand in popcorn box.
Thanks for the warning.
thanks for the warning...
and bump
I always go to IMDB.com first before spending a dime on a movie, either in cinema or video rental. From the bulettin boards, we can tell what the movie is actually about.
You might have saw 'Lady in the Water.'
This was a couple of years ago, but we were letting our kids watch some old Tom & Jerry cartoons (which is a rare event for our kids). I happened to walk through the room during a commercial and saw Ellen Degeneres' mother talking about how everybody needs to accept people for who they are, including homosexuals. Since then our kids are not allowed to watch commercials during the rare times they get to watch television.
We want our children to remain children as long as possible, and when they're old enough we'll teach them some folks are confused about their sexuality, and that there is another way out... I Do Exist.
Your welcome :)
They tried to drown you in muck too? Thanks for the warning :)
I know exactly what you mean!
I have noticed of late, the Burger King commercials getting more and more filled with innuendo. From the King, to the burger boy selling himself! Now they have chickens who want to be french fries. It's subtle but it is there. There are others, those are just a few examples.
Roger Ebert gave it a thumb up and called it Hitchcockian.
That's all I needed to know to avoid it.
I gathered that there was some pro-homosexual subtext from another review I skimmed.
Rather than recommend movies because they are GOOD, the critics push the propaganda that is "correct".
Going into a Hitchcock movie, it is clear what the premise is. The tv ad for this film was "spooky, night, Hitchockian!".
Explain to your children that there are bad people who want to touch them. Explain to them that there are bad people who are just as bad, who may not "touch" them but still want to entice them to "do wrong things" (even if indirectly).
Let your children know that there are even teachers and politicians who promote evil ideas.
Thanks for posting the warning!
If homosexuals didn't have such an obvious mental disturbance, movies like this would never have to be made to convince people otherwise. I hope the movie avoided the more disgusting homo practices of rimming, felching and a penchant for young boys. I sometimes wonder if hollywood has any writer who is not a homosexual or at the least a homophile.
You are welcome :)
Thanks..another of my list.
