Karr's dad lives in an affluent section of Atlanta and apparently is or was in the construction business. Considering that a son like this might be a little "embarrasing" it's likely that he may have had one of those jobs where you get paid NOT to show up.
Also, the fact that he kept marrying girls that are very young would indicate to me that he was "marrying down", getting girls from the wrong side of the tracks, so that with his family's money, there was enough of a power imbalance to get what he wanted without any kick back. Most middle class Southerners are real sensitive about the marrying young bit because it reminds us of our impoverished Appalachian roots. Hey, I can say that - I are one.
The Knutson family is certainly NOT from the wrong side of the tracks. Lara's father is very successful.
The word "peace" was actually below the word "multiple", which suggests to me that it was a valediction (i.e. conclusion to the note). By saying that he "shall be the conqueror and live in multiple", he seems to have been hinting at his intent to live secret lives characterized by grandiously perverse behavior.
The people who assume that Patsy Ramsey killed her daughter based on the ransome note seem to making the mistake of assuming that the murderer didn't want to be caught. Assuming he did it, Carr seems to have wanted to have been tracked down and caught from the beginning and thus the obviously phony ransome note with hints of his identity, his correspondence with strangers regarding the crime, and his high visibility as a grade school teacher.
In any event, the DNA evidence should either convict him or rule him out if it's been well preserved.
Burke could have found the knife. Burke could have seen the kidnap movies referenced in the note. Burke may have had a history of injuring JBR. I vote Burke.
See, it's
Burke
The other
Child.
Me too... and what about the DeLorean?
Bingo. Very, Very ODD.
