(AP) Mel Gibson's apology for making drunken anti-Semitic remarks isn't enough to redeem him, actor-producer Rob Reiner said.
The actor also must acknowledge that "his work reflects anti-Semitism," particularly the 2004 hit movie "The Passion of the Christ," Reiner told Associated Press Radio.

Rob Reiner should stick his head in a meat grinder.

Oh, LOL! Rob's panties are in a twist because he got caught doing illegal stuff. Hammered and nailed. I bet he curls up in a ball at night, weeping "cruel world, cruel world... I NEED my binkie!"

Take a hike Meathead.
The movie was a rather accurate portrayal of a portion of the Gospels, which were written so many hundreds of years ago.
I think that Reiner ought to be compelled to acknowledge his Socialist/Communist leanings, and that he should be apologizing for his efforts to undermine the economy of the culture that is exactly what made it possible for a complete jackass (such as he is) to get any sort of media attention at all.

I went to the San Jose Mercury News and read the whole article.
If there was every a 'no news' moment, this is it. It's news what Rob Reiner thinks about Mel Gibson or Mel Gibson's remarks or Mel Gibson's movies??
Mr. Reiner, ARchie was spot on - your're a meathead, freeloading lefty.

The actor also must acknowledge that "his work reflects anti-Semitism," Reiner has constantly belittled middle age white Christian guys. Reiner must acknowledge that his work in All In The Family reflects his anti-Christian stance. Especially if they smoke.

Reiner is nuts, if this gets legs Reiner may be toast. Is Reiner really saying that the Christian Bible is an anti-Semitic document and that Christians that believe in the New Testiment are anti-Semites?
To: Hal1950
Meathead is a Jewish anti-Christian.

Perhaps it was anti-semitic. I mean having Jesus eat Italian bread at a Passover Seder was over the top, but who is Reiner a treife JINO to judge?

Rob Reiner, what a waster of space. His work in All in Family was not "work" at all, just him playing himself.
The fact that people laughed AT him, totally escapes him.
To: Hal1950
Rob Reiner worked with Sally Struthers on All in the Family; therefore, he must admit he is Sally Struthers.
That's about as logical as what he's proposing for Mel Gibson.

I challenge Reiner and all the leftist Mel Gibson critics: why dont you have the guts to admit ityou hate Gibson because he dared to be honest about Jesus.
In fact, Reiner cares nothing about anti-Semitism or about Gibsons drunken, half-conscious comments about Jews.

Reiner really has no idea that the whole Jesus story has Jews in it playing all the main parts.
He's only marginally more aware that it's the Earth's rotation that gives him a Sunrise, not the movement of the Sun through the heavens.

This just goes to show, how much of the B.S. that Mel Gibson is taking right now, is still directed at what he did in The Passion.
I understand that over the last two or three years, his name was dropped from all the charitable lists in Malibu and he was no longer invited to the charity events, and he was being shunned to a great extent, by Rob Reiner and his ilk. That is what being "liberal" in Hollywood means.
