"The Passion of the Christ" is not even remotely anti-Semitic in any way whatsoever.
Not even close.
I think the idea these lefties want to get across is that the New Testament, and any faithful recreation of it, is anti-Semitic.
I remember there was a famous documentary about anti-semitism in the aftermath of 9/11, it was done by a Jewish documentary producer.
He asked Rob Reiner( and a few other jews in Hollywood) to appear in his documentary, meathead refused saying he does not want him to involve himself in such issues. Now this putz is concerned about anti-semitism, what an idiot.
Has Meathead called out the arab media for ANY of their antisemitic broadcasts that ROUTINELY call for the enslavement and murder of Jews and that refer to Jews as the subhuman offspring of pigs and monkeys?
What a vile useful idiot. I guess if Mel had the right politics, he'd get a pass.
What about Gary Busey who played an "evil" Jewish doctor in a Turkish film about the Iraq war? Busey played a doctor stealing the organs from prisoners at Abu Ghraib to sell them to wealthy Americans and Israelis.
THAT kind of propaganda does significant harm but is ignored by the media because it smears our troops which is "always good" in the left's eyes.
I guess product of nepotism Reiner never read the bible. Maybe self made success Gibson should tell product of nepotism Reiner to read it first before he opens his fat yap.
The left will never say anything about their members. Look at their former Presidential candidates like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson who routinely spew out anti semitic remarks, and let`s not forget their newest Presidential candidate Hellary Rotten Clinton who said Ghandi was working at a gas station, and her Paul Fray/Dick Morris anti semetic remarks. Then we have that love fest of hers with Suha Arafat. Maybe Mel should become a Democrat and spew some more. Then according to the left he would be Presidential material.
"The Passion" was not anti-semitic. If Mel goes that far...he'd be a liar.
Rob, although the Romans crucified Jesus, they did so because the Jewish religious hierarchy demanded it and, at the same time, suggested to the one they demanded it of that they'd send a letter to Caesar saying that he, Pilate, was no friend of Caesar if he didn't kill Jesus. It was a confluence of threatened blackmail meeting a desire to preserve one's career at the cost of an innocent man's life. That's not anti-Semitism. It's just history.
I think Rob Reiner must acknowledge that Spinal Tap was anti-Semitic
