Steve Irwin Ripped by PETA: Crocodile Hunter 'Cheap Reality Star' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By Josh Hart Sep 11, 2006

Steve Irwin has barely been laid to rest but the critics from his enemies already seem to be reveling in the fact that he was killed by an animal. Aussie feminist Germaine Greer got the ball rolling by saying that animals took their revenge on Irwin.

Steve Irwin Ripped by PETA: Crocodile Hunter 'Cheap Reality Star'

"The animal world has finally taken its revenge on Irwin, but probably not before a hole generation of kids in shorts seven sizes too small has learned to shout in the ears of animals with hearing 10 times more acute than theirs, determined to become millionaire animal-loving zoo-owners in their turn," she wrote in a bitter column aimed at getting her publicity.

Now here comes a member of PETA to pile on.

Jeannette Walls of MSNBC reports that the group's Dan Mathews says that it's "no shock at all" that Irwin died the way he did, and he's also branded Irwin a "cheap reality TV star."

"He made a career out of antagonizing frightened wild animals," says PETA's Mathews, "which is a very dangerous message to send to kids." And Mathews sniffs that Irwin's career wasn't particularly impressive – at least not to him:

"If you compare him with a responsible conservationist like Jacques Cousteau, he looks like a cheap reality TV star."

"I hope Germaine Greer gets hers from an avenging soybean or a head of lettuce."

She will choke on a tofu hotdog.

I knew this was coming...

Guess nudity just isn't getting it done like it used to for them. Speaking of which, can there be ANYBODY left on this planet who HASN'T seen Pamela Anderson naked yet?

Because of Steve Irwin, millions of kids and adults know more about wild animals than ever. And he always, always worked toward saving them and preserving their habitat. If ever wild animals had a friend, it was Steve Irwin.

Just more proof that PETA is not about helping animals, it is about punishing capitalism and pushing its extremist agenda.

Gee, if these PETA ***holes could do some research, they'd have found out that a man on Irwin's boat at the time of his death, who was collaborating and co-hosting the documentary that Irwin was working on, is named:

PHILLIPPE COUSTEAU, the grandson of Jacques. Guess he doesn't share their views, huh? And he will be hosting (with Irwin) that final documentary that will air on Discovery soon....

Too bad Steve didn't do a show examining the typical PETA member:

"Crikeys! ...look at this angry bugger! Why, she'd bite your hand off as soon as look at ya! And the smell, crikeys, is it potent, stings ya nostrils right up! That's the way these little devils keep regular society types away from 'em. Best to leave this one alone!"

P E T A What a mess these folks have made of true conservatorship of our Earth. This organization is the perfect example of how the devil twists the truth into a lie.

Without their stunts like nude celebrity endorsements and, now, dancing on a grave, would any normal person pay any attention at all to PETA, much less give a rat's *ss about what they say?

(I wonder.....is "give a rat's *ss" disrespecful to rats?)

She will choke on a tofu hotdog.

There’s an old Berke Breathed cartoon of Surgeon General Koop reciting innumerable hazards to your health, from sniffing dandelions to heaven knows what. In the last panel, he’s squashed by a giant chunk of tofu.

The reason we have organizations like PETA in the first place is because the legal profession in the US is quite literally out of control, is allowed to practice what amounts to legal extortion, and effectively answers to no one.

These are shots designed to ride free on somebody else's success. It's easy to snipe at the guy on stage, but he is up there and the sniper is not. The ones on the stage know this and it happens every day.

The real heroes of the animal world are, of course, film actors and their camp, swishy makeup artists who spout rubbish about fishing all day long.
