Conservative Babe of the Week #7 (PVT)
PA Observer | 9/25/06 | Senor Pissanto

Posted on 09/25/2006 7:29:15 AM PDT by pissant

Majida Mourad says she leads a simple life. She's smart and stunning; we're dubious.

Pressed for a romantic date, she comes up with a doozy. A former boyfriend flew her to London and told her she could go anywhere in the city. She picked Harry's Bar. They have great truffle pasta, she says.

Where in Washington does she go for a romantic getaway? "New York," she quips.

On the other hand, she says, "It's heaven to me to stay at home."

That may be because her recent jobs have required so much travel. She handled international energy issues as a senior aide to then-Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham and now as a partner and vice president at the Abraham Group.

She traveled so much at the Energy Department that any weekend she was in this country she took as a chance to visit her family in her native Toledo, Ohio.

In June, Mourad, 36, coordinated a major conference on natural gas, this time bringing oil ministers from Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria and Qatar here, where they met with leaders of American industries that have been hurt by the rise in prices for natural gas.

She says she is just where she wants to be in her professional life.

On a personal level, she acknowledges men approach her often for dates, but she thinks most aren't sincere. Inundated with offers, she says she values creativity in the approach and decency in the person.

She longs for a committed relationship - "It's like you have this shield around you, and everything just bounces off" - and envisions domestic bliss, with a husband and kids.

Sounds pretty down to earth after all.

You know not to sound like a prude but the last ones posted were not that um... exciting.

This week's pick however I admit is quite attractive, especially the first picture in the group.

"she values creativity in the approach "

"Sounds pretty down to earth"

What a contradiction.

Haha, I love the "winners" in quote marks. Seriously, who digs up these boring hags?

I think all women are beautful, just that some are more beautiful than others. All of these ladies are good-looking lasses, and I would love to have any of them on my arm too! Only problem I would have with that is my wife might not understand....she ain't Hillary, you know! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I only hope I'm struck blind before meeting Helen Thomas. :0 )

I don't think any of them are "hags". None of them are ugly and they are pretty (though the pic of Carol Platt Liebau is not to my taste). I just meant that when one reads "Conservative Babe" one gets the image that these women are more than just "normal" pretty but someone you look at and say "whoa!".

It has nothing to do with being half naked or anything like you said.

Hey don't listen to me, what do I know about pretty. I think Ann Coulter is kind of ugly while many people can't get enough of her. I was just expressing my opinion. Sorry.

I wasn't trying to trash your rtaste or anything. Just using your post as a springboard for getting the previous pics into this thread.

I've always been more of a sucker for the pretty, normal looking gals. I can't think of many models or movie starlets that do anything for me.

Of course, the beer babes are a special class unto themselves...

I don't agree with the "hag" classification, physically, at least...they all seemed fairly attractive to me.

Also, I don't think being down to earth and being creative are mutually exclusive. Creativity manifests itself in a multitude of ways, not just the stereotypical artist-hollywood types we see all the time.

The only one of these creatures that I have personally met was Dworkin. For some reason, a couple of women and her decided that some sort of protest was needed at the Minn. Law School. They laid out trails of Playboys, Penthouses, Hustlers, etc. thru' some of the hallways. I didn't get it at all. Dworkin looked like she hadn't showered in weeks and was dressed like a homeless person, including wearing 2 different colored tennis shoes. Their "protest" actually resulted in much derision and laughter.

Please add me to your "Conservative Babe of the Week" ping list. This is the first one I've seen and she is truly a babe. Thanks.

You know, I said that I wasn't sure why they were protesting at the U. of Minn. Law School, but it's been a long time and I suddenly remembered. One of my profs there at the time was Catherine McKinnon! I can't believe that I forgot about that. I also remember their glee when the pres was shot (RR).
